Do you have a time frame on when your truck is going to be ready? Winter is on the corner..

0D13B30B-03B4-4EF2-8F0B-49666BA953FF.jpg My truck will be ready probably in 2 weeks. Definitely by this month. I removed the rust before I painted which took a long ass time. For the front why are you buying coils, for the most part for the 5100 people use stock springs. 5100 gives you 2.5 inch lift, with stock springs.

also stage 3 auto has them for $389

the link you sent also had a 2.5 inch lift. And 1/2 spacer with makes it 3. You don’t need a 1/2 spacer imo

are you having someone else install them?

I would call some places and ask their price to install. They might even order the shocks from their store. The prices online don’t differ too much for these shocks. Call around first before ordering any shock or lift. It can be difficult to return stuff bought online especially when not from Amazon

Notice this will NOT lift the rear. You need get some adapter thing to fit with your xreas which is separate. Do you need a rear lift right away. No you don’t, lifting the front will level the truck out. I would look into separate forums about xreas lift.

yes the link is all you need. And someone to take your stock spring and install it on the new shock and put it on the truck. If you lived close I could do it for you. Haha

I will start looking tomorrow since is cheaper than i thought, hey man just to make sure and sorry about all the dumb questions, no rear lift is needed right? Wont the truck look lifted on the front and low on the back? Will i be able to put the 275 tires on the back without lifting? Man you have no idea how happy i am with this car.. i was on my way to buy a mazda 6 2006 when i decided to take a look on this 4runner.. while i was paying 1 person came to buy the truck and couple more where calling.. it was a good buy.. 10/22 my appointment for screen installation, backup camera, keyless entry and remote start! Will try to do lift between this and next week, and will try to do tires and wheels before snow! Budget is 1500$wheels/tires and 900$ for the lift installed - with this i spent around 9800$betweeen the car and all the upgrades! Not too bad considering that i was about to go on 30/35k debt..

I spent roughly 9k. If you look the front is already low compared to the back, probably by like 1.5 inches. Try to find something for the rear to add an inch or 2. No need for more than 2 inches in the back. Look for the forums.

So, i am not proud, i went stupid with steroids, i got the tires and wheels (275/70/17) well the tires are to big to be used on the truck without lift.. front tires are hitting the bumber, i can't use them until i lift the car, i got a couple of quotes to put Revtek Spacers or Rought Country for 1150 or 1080$, i don't think it worth to paying that for spacers only, I'd rather spend a little bit more for a complete lif kit, next Monday i have the appointment, they want to lift the vehicle to take a look and they will give me different options, did yours have the xreas suspension?

If you tires are rubbing on the bumper, it's not a lift issue.......it's the offset of your wheels. To fix it, you either need new wheels with a less extreme offset, you'll need to go back to smaller tires, or trim the bumper a little. Trimming the bumper is easiest.

Hey man, thank you for taking the time, i really appreciate the comment, that change eveything and it makes sense, lifting won't solve anything, i will get some help on Saturday to do the trimming! Updating soon, again, thank you.

    You're welcome!

Just trim a little and test. Trim more if you need to No need to go big at first.

Keep us posted on how it turns out.

Hey man, thank you so much! I follow your advise, trimmed the front bumper, now the tires fit perfectly!! What a difference.. suspension and lift can wait since i am not planning to do any off road until next year..
