No, but I have seen it, people seem to like it, and it won't take a year to get it. I also have C4Fabs sliders so I know their work is good. I don't have a use for a ladder and prob never will.

Hey, I have a question, and I promise I'm not trying to be a dick: why do people need ladders on the back of their 4Runner?

Most stuff that you're placing on the rack can be secured while you stand on the slider or the open door sill. Or you can stand on the tire. I'm 5'8 and I can easily reach past the middle of my rack by standing on the slider on either side. Nearly every RTT comes with its own extendable ladder (since most of them unfold sideways) and the rear hatch is usually nowhere near the entrance of any tent. The one exception would be the GFC tent, since theirs pivots up front with a door in the rear.

So what's the reason for the hatch ladder? Is it just so you can do this?

Someone please let me know what else they're used for.

Well let me give you my most honest answer. The reason I want the ladder, is because I love the playful look it gives the 4runner. Example It's like an accessory (a pair of earrings, handbag, high heels etc..)to compliment the look and give it personality...

I don't think there is any purpose but to complete the look... Now this is just my opinion

@mynameistory my reasoning is for function. While the RTT does have a ladder that extends out to open it, closing it and securing it are another story. I stowed the annex, floor and a few other items inside the tent while traveling and when closed, a little extra weight on top goes a long way in getting everything compressed down enough to secure the straps and get the cover on. It’s a lot easier to get into the tent and use body weight to compress it enough than it is to try to balance yourself on a tire or slider while using one hand to pull down on the tent and another to one hand fumble with the buckle. I’d much prefer using a ladder as opposed to stepping on the hatch and roof to climb up.

It doesn’t appear that they offer anything for the 4th and 5th Gen 4R’s

Good for you! But still just ridiculous. So if you didn't get a hold of them you would still be waiting. Since that ladder is like getting a unicorn, you should sell it for a hundred more than you paid for it. :)

Yes, I’d probably still be waiting.

Nah, I wouldn’t mark it up if I were to sell it. Not my style

I just got one of these to use as a ladder step. Fits in any of the door latches and supports 350 pounds. And when I'm done using it, it stores neatly in my butt.

My Gobi Stealth with Ladder arrived last week. Delivery took just over 20 weeks. I actually called to cancel the order 3 weeks ago which would have cost me $500 to do so.

Rack and Ladder look great! I will install soon.

That is their cancellation policy. They did offer a free Rack Accessory, which I took advantage of, for the delay in production and delivery.
