I ordered my Gobi ladder for my 3rd gen 4Runner about 17 weeks ago (they said it would take 8) and there’s still no sign of it coming anytime soon. I’ve tried contacting them both over phone and email and they don’t respond to either. Has anyone else had this problem/ is there a way I can get a hold of them? Also is there way I can possibly just cancel (even though they say all sales are final) because I’m just sick and tired of this waiting?

I’m in week 8 of waiting on my ladder. I’ll see if I can dig up some info today.

If you used a credit card, you only have so much time to dispute the charge. Paypal has a time frame too.

What about a debit card? I feel like I should be able to dispute it because they were so misleading with the build time.

Gobi won’t charge until it ships.

That’s good to know kinda. So hopefully it should be shipping any day now. Still wish there was a way I could contact them that doesn’t result in a voice mail or dead email

I’ve been waiting 8 weeks on mine and I’m due to leave the area in under a month. If it isn’t shipped soon I’ll have to get ahold of them and place it on hold until I get a new address

Gobi are masters of mental manipulation. Making you wait makes the product seem better than it really is because of the anticipation you've expended over the 142 week wait time.

Might i suggest stealing a milk crate from behind 7-11? It will also get you up on the roof.

But I don’t get overland points or have a place to hold my trasharoo when I’m crawling curbs outside Dillard’s.

Brah, you just write "Temporary GOBI" on the crate w/ Sharpie and put it on the roof rack with the words facing back, so more people can see them. Then you yell at hawt chicks as you go by: "I've ordered a ladder it just isn't here yet!". Clay Croft approves this technique.

Actually if you steal the right color crate it will match your Maxtrax...

For credit cards, your bank will need the transaction to post before you are able to dispute the charge. My recommendation is to contact Gobi and let them know that you want to cancel the order, and will dispute the transaction with your credit card company if they charge your card.

For debit cards, your bank is able to place a stop payment on the transaction. Your bank can let you know what they need to process your request. If the company runs the charge, it will get auto declined.
No need to go through the hassle of replacing your debit card number. See above.

Kudos for actually calling them instead of just complaining about it on the internet. It may not seem like a big deal, but you'd be surprised by how many threads get created about this topic, with no actual phone call made.

I want to say mine was 4 1\2 months wait. I had the same experience. Tried calling, no one would pick up. I called like 4 times a day for 3 days before they picked up. I love the rack, but i will never order from them again. They need more manpower and obviously won't hire it.
