Previous owner did tires and wheels. I've added roof cage, Ceramic limo tint, clear bra, blacked out third brake light, and fixed the curb rash. Misc other foofy bits.
This post gave me pause. My 4R will do a lot of highway miles and not all good roads.

I’m going to deflate to 45psi and see how she rolls. And continue until I get to a lower psi that doesn’t vibrate my arms off.

amazing how many people dont realize this

my good buddy has an f250 with 35’s. they say 50psi max and thats what he runs because he thinks that is where there should be

it’s horrific offroad and dynamiting the brakes at 50mph on the rural highway at stop lights seems right on the edge of dangerous.

i had 37’s on my f250 and ran 25psi rear and 30 front around town

the 4r in my pic has 265 ko2’s and i ran 32psi front and rear.

Hence the reason I’m going to start deflating. The roads here in Hampton aren’t great and around 5-0 mph the braking hasn’t been bad and that horrible vibration is almost gone. I’m hoping at 38 or so it doesn’t come back. Next tires will be better than what I have on it now.

interesting. I thought bfgs ko2s were the bees knees of tires. So at least I remember back in the Jeep world.

Dropped my to 35psi and it runs great on the highway. I never had a steering wheel shake but did feel stuff in the driveline, just completed a 320mile trip and it’s a beauty.

yes the 38 psi of those tires 7 years ago to todays very good ....the tires are the treads rotating it and all those tires are the same threads .........

Deflated to 44. Vibration is back but not as bad as at 35psi. I guess I have this to live with until new tires are necessary

Your tires shouldn't be shaking your arms off. Maybe there is a problem with one or more tires, or wheels. (Is there another shop you could try?)

edit i dont know i'm not a mechanic
