No. The tip has TRD stamped on it, and that was my clue that the exhaust system was an option.

I replaced the whole setup from the "center pipe" aft and it is much quieter now.

Four parts required to restore it to stock:

    90917-A6001 Gasket

    17430-31870 Tail Pipe

    17420-31360 Center Pipe

    17451-31020 Exhaust Pipe Gasket

I do notice a difference in how it shifts too, hopefully I'm still good to tow...

If you would put an exhaust on a V8 muscle car you will most likely enjoy the TRD Pro exhaust, if you think exhausts on muscle cars is too loud you will not enjoy it is the best focus group I can compare to.

My 21 Trail came with the TRD exhaust. While noticeably louder on acceleration I don't hear any drone at Hwy speeds. I like a loud exhaust on cars and trucks so it either doesn't register with me or I have the music up to loud. Not gonna change it.

Anyone got measurements of their trd muffler? Planning to cut and weld a magnaflow muffler similar to the size of the trd.

Did you swap out the exhaust tip? If yes how does it sound and did it get rid of the drone sound?
    Thanks!

You cannot replace just the tip without cutting and welding.

I replaced the muffler and exhaust pipe, which is a fairly simple bolt off / bolt on process.

Yes, it eliminated the drone sound.

If anyone wants my performance muffler and exhaust pipe, check my post in the market place.
