No BMC, no rubbing on the body mount.

I think it tracks well. It definitely will guide towards the contours of the road. But my GF hasn't complained about highway driving besides that it is slow AF lol.

I just did 285s back in January on stock ORP wheels so i’m not necessarily ready for a new wheel/tire setup. Next round of tires I think I might try your setup.

haha idk if slow is the way to describe it. I will probably tune mine come the new year.

I am definitely going to tune mine, hopefully by the end of the year. She loves to go 90+ on the highway, which ol Ruby doesn't like to do. So she complains how slow she is lol. I cruise just fine.

I haven't done much to 'ol Ruby besides throw a massive amount of money at the loan. Decided to stop modding and put all the money towards having no note. Once she is paid off, mods will resume. Did get a trailer so we can base camp and not have to camp out of Ruby all of the time.

Your 4 runner is beautiful! I just got a 2016 as well but it’s silver, I really wanted a red one but I still love my runner. I noticed your 4Runner has a really faded black rubber piece on top of the bumper (sorry I don’t know the official name of the part) mine has the same problem but only worse, it’s not a big deal but to me it looks bad. I’ve tried several black restoring products so far none of them have worked it looks like the rubber just absorbs it and it turns back to the faded look in about a day.

Are you talking about the rear bumper?

I hate that it looks all faded. It’s rubber I think and it drinks up whatever you put on it blacking wise. It will look nice for a few hrs. Then right back to faded

Finally got the Dissent Off-road rear bumper on. They messed up the spare tire rod hole, so they hooked me up on a swing out.

Looking good there on the rear bumper - how do you like so far? Any issues with fitment etc? Or all good.

Unfortunately I had ankle surgery right after I got the bumper so haven't been able to really shake it out. But I think the body shop didn't notch part of the metal inner fender and the bumper is banging on that. I am not 100% sure about that. But other than that, it is freaking solid! I will be ordering the swing out next month.

Thank you! I will update this as things go along. I do have to take the bumper apart and run the back up camera relocation when I do the swing out.

I hope the guy that hit your runner had insurance! I would hate to come out to the parking lot and see my vehicle smashed! I hope your ankle heals quickly!

It was a State vehicle, so thank you Sate of Colorado for the rear bumper!

I've been reading over your build thread for the past few days and I've thoroughly enjoyed everything you shared. Especially your mini guides/comparisons (and the photos of your adventures are AMAZING!) Traded in my old 2007 SR5 4Runner that was my farm truck and never modded for a used 2016 SR5 that I'm hoping to try my hand at. Will definitely be taking the slow path at modifications, but hoping to see more of what you have going in the future!
