Thanks for the welcome Dan!

I can wait patiently for this vehicle...Figure if I find one as desired and can get 10% below msrp then that is achievable and realistic goal. New dealer reply today that matches my build. I may pull trigger on next week.

Have a lot of reading to do about this platform. I need to search for 2017 manual online...never had new truck from off a RO-RO vessel before. Break in process is likely: below 4k rpm, variable load, no highway til 1k+, std low mile oil changes then @ 4k synthetic 5w30 to normal service intervals or as needed. :turtleride: & Steady

Honestly we got our 4Runner and drove it. Keep your fluids good, tires rotated, and work the 4x4 so everything stays lubricated and it will just go. I don't overthink it, just maintain it like you care about it and it will just go forever.

Congrats. We were at Lone Star Toyota Jamboree this weekend and I probably sold 4 or 5 4Runners. People were stunned how well I was doing, and when they rode in the 4Runner with me were shocked how smooth it was on that rough terrain. Make sure you leave the pavement at some point, or you'll never find out what a great vehicle you have. (Looks like you already did :))

Just over 500 miles and having a blast! Nothing but mingus bunny slope trails and service roads so far though. There are some really nice builds at Overland ExpoWest.

FYI: "Doitoverland" 10% off FrontRunner til August

My sliders are RCI, I'll have to look into their 15% off deal. I might get me a set.

Just seeing this today...Welcome aboard...Sounds like a cool build. I would be interested to hear more about your Chile trip. I have always wanted to explore around Argentina and Chile as one of my other interests is fly fishing.

Chile has been a "Jaguar Shark" of sorts ever since camp fire stories of Alaska to Argentina from my elders.

Do not really fly fish anymore...last couple rounds was 5 years ago in the L.A. River going for those picky Carp.

Finally opened and inspected some packages from Micah @ DSM.
Bubba was not impressed:yawn:. Ordering the rear coils and shocks this weekend. Need to find sway bar poly bushings, bumpstops, and build extended sway bar links (not sure if needed).

Will post on the 5th gen set up thread once it is set up.

Weekend duty and then trip to Hollister and Pinnacle NP with family after the 4th.
