I've reached out to 52 dealerships in the last few days and only a few said they are under MSRP (for a Venture) so far.

    Toyota of Puyallup, Oregon
    Wilde Toyota, West Allis, Wisconsin

I'm reaching out to more because of this thread and will update as I go. Only one terrible one so far.

Capitol Toyota, San Jose, California - 10K over MSRP

Keep them coming. I will work on consolidating the list of MSRP dealers on the top of this thread.

How long ago was this purchase? Recent?

Added Capitol Toyota to the sh*tty list. How long ago did you get Toyota of Puyallup and Wilde Toyota quotes at MSRP or below?

I sent out all of my initial requests on Saturday and have been having back-and-forth conversations since then so all of the info I have is from Sunday at the latest. The Puyallup offer came in Sunday and Wilde came in this morning.

I'm going through my spread sheet now and can update with the ones who said they are at MSRP in a bit. Keep in mind I am shopping for a Venture though...

Markquart Toyota in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin sells at MSRP. Talked to a dealership yesterday in Colorado that said Toyota watches to see which dealers sell over MSRP, and adjust their allocations accordingly. Interesting strategy if true.

Avondale Toyota, west of Phoenix, should be on the good guys list. They stand by their "One Price" pledge, and right now, that's MSRP on the two LR Pros they have in transit.

Carlsbad adds a 7.5k markup on their Pro's but they do add a lift and new Nitto tires on their Pro's for that cost. Probably a 4k markup considering the adds.

So they remove the ultra-expensive suspension that is the biggest component of a Pro?

I got the same deal - in early April. But took 6 weeks for delivery.

I'm not an expert, but I don't think you remove the suspension to do a 2" lift.

Back in late March I was speculating that the pricing for the PRO would eventually trickle down to the other trim levels. And that appears to be the case judging from this Thread. Especially after the notice from Toyota that they were no longer accepting any more orders for 21' Pro's. So now, a nation-wide search for any incoming Pros seems to have transcended to the TRD's, and maybe even the SR5's.
The Assistant Service Manager at the Toyota dealership I purchased my 21' TRD/ORP is a occasional acquaintance of mine. I remember him saying in mid-March that if I want a new 4R I need to act soon. He was right.
I understand the current supply/demand for the PRO. But I don't understand the frenzy for ALL the trim levels. Supposedly, the 5th Generation will continue through the 22' Model year, or most of it. Or will it ?? If the current 4R demand carries over into 22', one could speculate that the local inventory will be even less, and the pricing even higher. I wonder if they will even make a PRO 4R in 2022 ? Will be interesting to watch.

How many here have contacted Toyota Corporate to notify them of this?

Ultimately if there are too many dealers doing this it may hurt the toyota name not in short term but long term.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil as they say (sometimes not all the time but sometimes).

I took my 4R in to Dublin Toyota (CA) this morning to get my low pressure fuel pump replaced (recall). They did not have a single new truck on the lot. They had some corollas and Prius on the lot. The used lot was packed with very expensive used trucks... I'm guessing it would be hard to sell something above MSRP that you don't have.

On a side note - when I made the appointment this past Monday, the gal on the phone said I could not get a next day appointment for the fuel pump because they needed to get the parts. This morning when I dropped the truck off, I asked the service advisor twice if he had the parts. He said "Oh yeah, they are here." This afternoon I got a phone call - no parts. Do I even have to say how ticked I am about being lied to?

Find a different dealer, because this one clearly has no respect for you or your time. Absolutely ridiculous. Also, let Toyota know.

Berlin Toyota in Portland Maine is currently offering me a RAV4 Prime for just under MSRP, and this is an incoming one because no one can keep them on their lots, most are sold before the truck pulls in.

Cain Toyota in North Canton, Ohio has always kept their vehicles at or below MSRP. I have a LR Pro on order right now through them for $1500 below MSRP. Their inventory is very thin right now though.

Dublin Toyota needs to be added to the shame list. Told me they had four 4Runner TRD pros at msrp and had two listed on website went in and not a single truck of any kind on the lot. They said price for the nonexistent 4Runner is 68k so total waste of time. Livermore Toyota same thing 68-69k for 4Runner TRD pro. These dealers need to be exposed for ripping off the public.

I purchased a Lunar Rock Pro at $2,000 above MSRP on 5/13/21 at Jim Coleman Toyota in Bethesda, MD. This apparently was an order for someone else that lost patience with order and purchased one elsewhere. I happened to log on to the dealership's website the day it was posted on their website and I was the first to inquire about it. I got very lucky! This dealership and about half of them in our area were selling Pro's at MSRP. But with the limited inventory and strong demand they added $2,000 to the MSRP which I was fine with given the times. Most of the other dealers were + $10,000 for a LR.

For those posting on this topic, please put when purchased because the market is hotter now than it was two months ago (just like the housing market). Additionally, I would imagine that most of you that ordered a Pro probably did pay MSRP. But, for those that happened to randomly snag one off the lot probably paid above MSRP.

Not sure how charging above MSRP is "ripping people off" LOL. This is called SUPPLY and DEMAND. Many of you slept through basic Economics.

If you don't want to pay then don't. No one is forcing you to buy a 50K+ vehicle.

Correct. I'm just amazed by what people pay for Pros. Truly amazed. My 2020 ORP KDSS/Sunroof was right at $40k out the door. But, as you say, different strokes for different folks!

I agree! I was going back n forth in November between the Venture and the Pro. The Pro was on the lot with a 7K markup making it 59K. I ordered the Venture and paid 46K. I couldn't justify the extra dollars for the Pro.

Dublin Toyota is selling TRD PROs for anywhere between $65-75,000 right now.

    And people buy them.

    Supply snd demand.

Just like insulin and other pharmaceuticals in the US you either want it and will pay for it, or you will not.

Have to love the inflation as well on groceries, lumber and in general happy 2021

The dealers must be finding suckers to pay these prices so it's a buyers responsibility too. If you don't want to overpay just cool your jets and wait this inflated market out. Unless you absolutely NEED a car now, just hold off.
