You don't have to be a US citizen to purchase a firearm. If you Google 'AFT form 4473' it'll outline who can buy a gun (for example permanent residents ect)

 

Saw your edited post, to answer, not being a citizen is not an automatic disqualifier for purchasing firearms described by some to be "assault weapons". 4473 would show the requirements to purchase. Hope that helped.

 

They only show half of the form. For an assault weapon purchase, you must provide either a voter registration card, social security card or a birth certificate?

 

There are five
firearm types.
1 pistol
2 revolver
3 shotgun
4 assault weapon
5 rifle

 

On the 4473 question, that I'm not sure.

In reference to the types of firearms, there are additional firearms not included in your list
-AOW: any other weapon
-Firearm (yes also a different class of gun than listed above)
-Machine gun (fully automatic)
-Probably more...

For reference, you will find all of these defined in the National Firearms Act 1943. (But I suggest you just YouTube it because the law is quite wordy)

The Remington Tac14 firearm is based on the Remington 870 shotgun, but because of its features and the wording of the National Firearms Act, it is classified only as a firearm.

There are others out there, like I referenced earlier, a YouTube search of different guns as they relate to the NFA can ease some of the confusion regarding wording

The Tac14 having a barrel length of under 18 inches and a non-buttstocked pistol grip is considered a pistol. Just like the .45/410gauge “Judge” shoots a shotgun round but is still considered a revolver. Like a Tec-9, removable high capacity mag, threaded barrel, still considered a pistol...

 

This is the reasoning behind the stricter gun laws. They want to manufature/import new exotic weapons. And to do it they must raise the bar so to speak..

 

Please stop trying to argue or find some minor issue to defend. YOU own a firearm & if this bill passes you will need a federal license to buy ammo & that will be recorded & cataloged.
Please, either educate yourself about this bill via my video (I posted) or others (or read the bill). Otherwise your arguments are unnecessary.

I completely agree. I wouldn't go so far as to say this particular cop is a bad apple, he just doesn't know how to talk to people. Playing stupid games like that doesn't get you anywhere..glad he let the guy walk, thought. No reason to detain him at this point.

The real issue I have with all of this (in addition to the glaring Second Amendment infringements) is the suspension/revocation of our civil liberties during this COVID19 era.

How easy has it been for governors to unilaterally and single-handedly suspend our First and in some states Second Amendment rights?! Not to mention individuals wanting to take a jog on a beach or go surfing alone.... what sense does that make when we're all crowding into the same supermarkets to panic buy toilet paper and Lysol??

It's disturbing how so many people have just rolled over and accepted this without so much as a second thought. And don't even get me started on those calling the police to rat out their fellow citizens who are not blindly following these dictatorial orders.

We had one in the pawn shop for awhile. I got to take it out/ put it up in the safe everyday. Then an investigator came and took it. It was just a semi-version with an extra barrel. I never really found out the story behind it...

If previously owned firearms and ammo are Grandfathered in, then they might be hoping that opposition will wane because of this clause, and our future generations will be less likely to become licensed. Most kids today don't have the attention span to jump through 5 months of hoops, resulting in a more controllable population in the next 10 to 20 years. And legally unable to will our weapons to our families because they aren't federally licensed to possess. But I'm green to gun laws and always learning, so I could be misunderstanding this. Edit: Also saw the denied and revocation clause at the end. Makes more sense now.
