I suffered a rather traumatic arm injury about 5 years ago. I have nerve damage to my left arm/hand so I kind of understand what you are going through. Some days are miserable, Some aren't so bad but its something I constantly have to deal with. I always tell myself there are people that are way worse off than me. Try and keep a positive mental attitude and keep your head up man.

Was the nerve damage confirmed? In my case they don't know.

Yes, there's so much scar tissue in my forearm that the nerves can't re attach themselves. I've been told it may be able to fixed with more surgeries but the chances are low. I've learned to live with it and don't really want to have surgery again. I definitely understand the burning you talked about in your first post. I have it pretty 24/7.

My feet look normal, no injury. EMG nerve test says normal too.

Interesting. May be worth getting a second opinion or seeing specialist if you haven't already.

They told me it may be micro nerve damage(not visible on EMG) or nerve irritation. My sensation, reflexes and strength are normal

New member here, but saw this thread and wanted to share our experience.

My Wife and I both had foot issues. We changed our diets to Keto diet and over a few years our foot issues went away. My Wife learned about it on Youtube, and started researching it there watching MDs and Scientist discussions and lectures. My Wife has changed how she prepares food and it's working for us. We took sugar out of our diets that helps reduce inflammation, without trying over a few years my weight also dropped over 30 pounds and many of the joint pains I had I thought due to getting old, have also gone away. This change has greatly improved our quality of life.

Ask about a drug called Gabapentin right away and get another opinion. My Dad has had exactly what you have for many years. They had to find the right dosage but he gets an immense amount of relief from this drug.

My Dad has the peripheral neuropathy as well as severe Tinnitus from his years in the service. This Gabapentin and prayer has given him a great amount of relief.

If you need help please seek it, but where there is a will and determination there is a way. I watched my Dad cry for many months trying to find help.

Today I am blessed to see him doing better and pray I can take him fishing in my new 4R. Keep the faith my friend.

Search youtube for "Keto Diet" there are many MD/Scientist videos.

It's an anti inflammatory diet, low carbohydrates and low sugars.

"Low Carb Down Under" here's a youtube lecture by Dr. Phinney, it may be a little heavy starting out learning about Keto:

We know a couple that are friends. Told them about Keto at the beginning of last year. He is 6'4" tall and has already lost 30 pounds and his knee pain has gone away enough that he no longer limps due to knee pain. They are more strict on their diets than we are and have experienced faster quality of life improvements than we did.

Does this neurapathy go away with time? Anybody has experience?
I am taking Vitamin B12 shots too.

Did your dad do an EMG nerve conduction test? Was it normal? In my case it is normal. The nerve problem is not showing up. Plus, I have normal sensation, strength and reflexes in legs and feet.
    Thank you!

Don't know what state you are in but have you tried medical marijuana? Literally a miracle drug for many things. You might even be able to replace prescription drugs, which help one symptom, but create other problems. I really urge you to try it. If you have a dispensary nearby, consult with them, tell them your symptoms and they will recommend a strain. No harmful side effects, other than relief, hunger, better sleep. God bless you brother.

I mentioned this post to my wife last night. She's a physician(though a different specialty, listen to your doctors above anything else), she said there IS treatment for this, so don't lose hope so quickly. Also, seeing a therapist about the anxiety issue could help a ton.

This is a heart wrenching thread - something like this may be expected for one that is my age, but not 34. Sounds like you're accruing a lot of prayers for you here - add one more! :(

Muhammad just talked with my Dad he said his nerve conduction test was clear.

He now takes 300 MG Gabapentin

He takes 2 pills at a time so 600Mg each dose three times per day.

So that’s 1800MG over the course of a day. But again he had to play with dosage over period of months The dosage affects his drowsiness. He takes two naps per day. He has taken it for over 15 years

Symbalta and lyrica are other options to ask about he suggested.
