I bought a new to me 06 4Runner 4.0 4x4 a while back. It has a few check engine codes and I’m trying to figure out where to start on addressing them. The codes are
    P0016
    P0335
    P0340
    P0325

And of course the vsc light is on. I’m hoping I haven’t screwed myself with a costly repair. The vehicle is in pretty good shape and drives well for 220,000 miles.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

    P0016:

    P0335:

    P0340:

The code is pointing to a mismatch in sensor output. This is indicative of timing being off... or, if it's not that, either a bad crank or cam sensor or wiring. Luckily, TOYOTA uses mostly non interference engines so you should be ok.

I’m gonna check wiring and then the cam sensor and go from there. The vehicle drives fine with no issues that I’ve noticed.
