Hey, guys. So I’ve been reading y’all online and y’all really seem to know y’all a stuff. I recently just got a 2018 SR5 4 runner black. It’s all standard and I still have stock tires and rims, that’s what I’m looking to change. I’m in my teenage years so clearly have limited money...I want to put black rims on, keep standard tires. Will that look odd with a few inch lift? I know ideally I’d get some all terrain tires but I don’t have the money. Would it look weird like that by itself? Any help/advice is appreciated guys thanks!!

Yes, it’ll look off. Like a hotdog down a hallway.

If as a teenager you can afford a 2018 SR5 then that's more bad ass than anything you could throw on that rig just to make it look cooler. Don't worry about looking weird about whatever you do to that thing.

I totally agree with you. The hobby of vehicle customization is expensive. Don’t worry about what other’s think or say about your ride. Do whatever you want with it and enjoy your T4R. Also, like most of us on this forum, mod your vehicle one item at a time and whenever you can afford to pay for it. Don’t put yourself out of the way just to modify your vehicle.

I’d start with used parts whenever possible. Then, upgrade as time progresses. And remember, it’s an automobile. It can be here today and gone tomorrow. Now, go have fun with your T4R and don’t forget to post pictures of your mods.

Just enjoy it. You don’t need to lift it if you wanna keep your wheels and tires stock just level your 4R and blackened the wheels and emblems and logos. Trust me you’ll love it as is.

I would just maybe add some Bilstein 5100’s up font set at .85 to stop the nose dive while braking and add more aggressive tires. That alone will make it look way better.
