What is the best glass cleaner for my back hatch glass and 2 side rear windows with defroster grids embedded in them? Manual says no Windex glass cleaner or similar. Our local car pool guys use that stuff all the time in spray bottles. Manual says warm soapy water ONLY?

Any ammonia free cleaner is fine, Windex makes a version that is ammonia free.

Personally I just use whatever ammonia based crap my wife buys to use in the house, it hasn't hurt anything yet.

FYI, the side glass wires embedded are what Toyota calls a diversity antenna. Its the aerials for the radio.

I use Invisible Glass on all my windows. It’s ammonia free so it’s safe to use on tinted windows and glass with defrosting elements. MAKE SURE to use a clean microfiber cloth or paper towels designed specifically for automotive use as household paper towels contain drying agents that cause streaks.

I am using SprayWay glass cleaner. I love it the most because it is streak-free. Earlier in this post, some recommended you to buy an ammonia-free product. I am agree with him, and this one is ammonia-free. You know what, it fulfills my expectation because it works well whether there is dirt or grime. I think you can try it.

Half & Half mixture of white Vinegar & water with clean microfiber towel works great!
