Agreed. The only thing the LC has that I would really want is that sweet 5.7 V8, that motor is a beast, (I owned a 2008 Tundra) otherwise the 4 is just fine and a real bargain compared to the LC.

Odd question. Has anyone ever seen or know of a 5.7L swapped into a T4R? With all the space in the engine bay (5th gen at least) it appears there to be room.
That would be a fun build!

Well there is a V8 for the 4Runner you can buy from the dealership, it's just called the Lexus GX460. To your question, deep enough pockets....anything is possible.

    Well played sir,
I know the T4R and the GX are cousins. I however think the GX is ugly & would never buy one.
That being said, do they have terrain management etc that the TRD orp has? I doubt it!
That would be an expensive build. Then a tree comes & costs you $4k for a fender!

I love my T4R because it is probably the most economical, feasible, practical SUV that feels more like a truck than a car. Especially considering I was originally shopping around for a Tacoma, I debated with myself finally deciding to go the 4runner route. No regrets!

Not to mention that I wanted a good vehicle that could deal with SHTF scenarios should my family ever have to face one, anything from floods, to stranded camping, to having to flee due to the apocalypse! Jk....kinda. But really, because the 3.4L engine is one to last forever, or longer than the rest of the vehicle anyways. I like the durability, the utility, and the looks (especially when lifted and with bigger tires!).
