I have a 2008 4Runner SR5. What is the largest size tire I can get without having to get a lift kit? I just want to beef up her appearance a bit and get some black wheels as well. I’m in the market for new tires anyway. I want a good, all terrain tire for all seasons. I’ve read good reviews on BFG tires for 4Runners.

Lifts don't clear larger tires on vehicles with independent front suspension and offset on whatever wheel you decide to buy will have an impact on clearance/rubbing.

Your question has been asked and answered hundreds of times on this forum. Do a search and you will find more information than you likely have time to read.

If someone wants the all-terrain look but doesn't expect to tackle remotely difficult terrain I'd start with the BFG Trail-Terrain.
