I push the unlock button on my key fob, the lights flash twice, beeps are heard, BUT by the time I walk the twenty feet to the truck all is locked up tight. A pain in the ass when I have my hands full, or just given the principle of the thing.

Any hints to get the driver's door to unlock when I push unlock?

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
it will relock after like 20 or 30 seconds if you dont open a door after unlocking them, maybe that's what your up against? Also 1 press unlocks only the drivers door, if you press it twice it will unlock them all plus the rear hatch.

Thanks for your response. One click often immediately unlocks then relocks my driver door. Two clicks unlocks the four passenger doors, three often unlocks hatch. All relock in much less than twenty seconds. I think I’ll discuss it with service manager. I brought it to his attention several months ago, he responded, “That’s Toyota.”

Sounds like your response might have to be, “that’s a shitty service manager” if you get the yota line.

If my fob is in my pocket, the driver's door unlocks when I grab the handle.

good luck, hopefully you get a better response from them next time. It's ridiculous to hear about service managers brushing off customer concerns like that

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
Gotta keep your gun hand free when walking up to your vehicle.
That way you can open doors, work the remote, and grab your gun.

There should be a setting on your head unit for automatic re-locking timer. Once I get a minute I'll go out to mine and give more specific instructions.
Shouldn't be a need to take it in for service.

Hmmm. I stand corrected. No head unit setting that I could find. I'll dig a little more.

You can change the auto-relock timing with Carista. You can also turn the feature off.

Is it permanent after a one-time change? Or do you need to continue to subscribe?

It’s permanent once you make the change. The Carista dongle is like $20 on Amazon. Then you download the app. I think you get a week or month free subscription. Then cancel before it charges your card for subscription.

You can make all kinds of changes to different things (lights, windows, locks, etc). They’re all listed in the drivers manual I think.
