    Hello Everyone -

What do you use to clean the LCD touchscreen? I don't want to scratch it with paper towels but I don't want to use a standard LCD screen spray cleaner just due to the moisture factor.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

I just use a dry microfiber towel and it gets all the finger prints off.

This is great for routine dusting and also leaves no streaks on the head unit screens.

Pre-moistened Bausch and Lomb lens cleaning wipes work very well.

I buy them at either WalMart or Meijer in the eye care section.

I spit on it, and rub it with my sleeve.

McKee's Fast Interior Detailer is a great product. No streaking on touch screens.

For car monitors and computer monitors I use a mixture of 1 part off-the-shelf isopropyl alcohol (91%), 4 parts reverse osmosis water and a quality microfiber cloth. It works well for cleaning glasses or sunglasses too. Spray the cloth, not the monitor. It costs about nothing to fill up a little spray bottle.

I have RO water in my kitchen, if you don't you can use distilled water. I would avoid using tap water.

This is what I use and I try to avoid eating KFC in the 4, but it's hard not to. Truly a struggle for me. :anonymous:

I would use the bags that come with my Oakley's or I'd take a microfiber towel and spray just a little bit cleaner on that to clean the screen if you have an dry crust spots left behind from your greasy french fry fingers....basically same way you'd clean a TV. Just never spray the cleaner directly on the screen.
