I have the wider one which fits sunglasses perfectly because their sunglass holder in the headliner sucks anyway.

I've always thought this holder and French-fry slot had something to do with what drivers in other countries, such as Japan, wanted. Or is there some obscure Gov reg that dictates all imports must have a place for toll road change? Heck, maybe the senior design guys allowed the junior design guys to have some very minimal input.
I like seeing what and how mods are done to make them actually useful.

Damn shame they didn't incorporate a divider into that area - sometimes I like a little mustard with my ketchup... :kona:

Business opportunity! Surely somebody with the fabrication skills could prototype some sort of wet condiment divider. Maybe even a three slot system for the siracha lovers.

I'll gladly 3d print you a little part to fasten in there. It would separate your ketchup and mustard perfectly!

It's Toyota adding a "feature" to fill an empty space like the Atari wheel turning graphics.

It's like the Japanese engineers think that every space must be utilized for something. Never liked the center console design on the 5th gen.

I programmed homelink (roof console) so I wouldn't need to do this.
