drove the 4r with the fam to the hardware store for kids bedroom paint, they have a big mural out front!




mom’s driving our oldest son (4 yrs) in “the big truck” to a preschool friends birthday party, which is sure to be awkward and painful lol.

Allow me to shamelessly plug my own thread.

I also sanded down the inner fender white paint, and painted the them black along with their fender liner fasteners.

Drove it to Discount Tire (yet again) to try and get these Wildpeaks balanced. 3oz on front drivers, 1.5oz on passenger front. But did park by my truck's twin.

I’m interested in at4w’s next, but, I may have to stick with Mickey Thompson cuz I don’t think I’ve seen a single person report steering wheel shake and balancing probs with MT.

 

So I didn't have steering wheel shake, it was more like a seizure. You get up to 60 or so and you could actually see the steering wheel go crazy, you had to have a firm grip to keep it in a straight line. Honestly I think its pretty ridiculous as this is the 3rd or maybe 4th time they've balanced the wheels (stock ORP wheels, not aftermarket) yet they keep doing this. These will probably be leaving me here soon, even though there's only maybe 8k on them.

 

Installed a Viofo A329 dash cam on my 2015 SR5P. The front camera slides off to the right, so I mounted it on the right side of the mirror mount. I remembered to check that the lens was in the windshield area that is swept by the wiper. Next is to mount the rear camera, and for now I'll tape the cable to the headliner. Once it's been installed for a week or so with no issues, I'll hide the cable and install the hardwire kit. While the A pillar trim piece is off, I'll also install the grab handle bracket and then the driver's side grab handle.

 

dang that’s intense, and surely quite frustrating after dropping good money.
I’ve read a few threads regarding balancing issues where a member has seemingly gotten to the bottom of the source of the issue, and or determined the true correct course of action for these problems… And it’s not just a road force balance being done. I don’t remember the exact fix, but some people here have finally achieved success with the crazy steering wheel shake

Wife and I drove the 2011 to the gym.

 

Took my daughter's stuff to be hauled to Tucson so she can abandon us next week to go get her stupid PhD.

 

You sound like a proud, papa!

 

She graduated in May with majors in Bio Chemistry and Math with a minor in Spanish and zero debt Now off to U of A for her PhD in Chemistry. Luckily she gets her intelligence from mom and not dad.

 

Enjoy the road trip! My girl is going to be a G.A. at Austin Peay State University and working on her Masters in Health and Human Performance: Performance Enhancement and Coaching. Like yours, no College debt and smarts from Mom.

 

This is nearly the exact setup I used when my daughter went to OU for her PhD. My ‘21 4Runner was white and I rented a U-Haul from Conroe, Texas to Norman, OK. The only 2 differences were mine was an SR5P, and the U-Haul was a single axle and I had a blowout somewhere in the middle of nowhere OK. Made it to the shoulder safely and U-Haul’s roadside assistance was very quick. We were back on the road in less than 45 minutes. Like your daughter, mine had zero debt, and today she has “Research Scientist” in her job title. Way to go dad! I know exactly how you feel!

 

It's easy when you have kids who are driven. Gotta be proud.
