I have it in mine. If you have KDSS you have to remove two braces which I didn’t realize till I started to install it. Not too much of a big deal for me, since I don’t plan on doing any rock crawling. The main issue with it that I have, is the hardware is the greatest. All the bold heads, including the Allen key screw heads for the oil axis have all rusted. I’ve only had it on my vehicle for two months now or so. To change my oil, I just remove the whole thing, but it’s a pain to get to the bolts back into place, the ones that have the aluminum sleeve.

Installed the hood decal from MyWyfsRnnr (Chris). Chris was so helpful. I am a bit of a perfectionist, and was concerned about bubbles. At one point the decal looked like it had chicken pox. However, Chris reassured me and said if evaporation did not handle in a couple of days, to just poke a small hole in the bubble. He also told me not to leave it out in the sun to avoid stretching the vinyl. Following his instructions, after two days, I parked it in the sun this morning for about 30 minutes. I then started using a very small needle to puncture the bubbles. It worked perfect and all I had to do was use my thumbnail to press the bubble flat. Below is a picture of one of the bubbled areas, and pictures after having worked on the bubbles.

Thanks to Chris for his excellent support and guidance.

I second all you said here. I had a custom rear decal made from him. He said it posed a bit of challenge to get the vinyl cut just right, but in the end, I LOVE my Mississippi rear decals.

(And I've had mine on since last November. So they've had at least one winter in Mississippi -- for whatever that is worth).

Above 3500 rpm it sounds louder and deeper. Below 3500 it's imperceptible. The 4.0 isn't as rev-happy as my Tacoma's 3.5, so I don't get to hear it that often in daily driving.

took my runnings boards off yesterday and mounted my Budbuilt sliders today. Beat part was my pops coming down and helping out. He sat in the shade handing me bolts!

Those look nice. Budbuilt has been around for long time but I don't see many people with g5 4r parts. They were pretty popular on my g1 Tacoma years ago.

^^^What he said. For the most part, it's good quality. I was going to paint the red TRD letters black if I had kept mine. In the end, the missing braces bugged me so I sold the CTH skid and went with RCI.

Nice! I was looking into this exhaust. Does it drone on the highway(around 2000rpm)?

Ark splash guards installed. Hope the pics show difference in material OEM and Ark and coverage. Very nice quality.

^I've been running similar guards by Gear Tech Customs on my Tacoma. Good to see an alternative.

Kmeeg your one of the reasons I chose to spend the extra $ for the Elka's with your experience multiple suspension tried and positive reviews. Really trying to do things right the way I want it first time avoiding do overs. Thanks for all your postings and feedback. I have found myself searching on Google outside of the forum watching your YouTube.

Ordered wiper inserts for windshield and rear window, then went looking for a YouTube to see about installation as a guide...one I found said that if the blades have the Toyota logo, you have to replace the whole blade and insert instead of putting just a new insert in if the blade has no logo...anyone got any quick Intel on that? The air has been so bad this week so haven't gone out to even attempt it.

Sounds incorrect. Assuming things haven’t changed since 2012, if you have OEM arms, you should absolutely be able to swap the blade on its own.

The wipers with the Toyota logo are Toyota's sightline wipers. Odd move that Toyota sells them but the OEM refills won't fit them.

It's home safe before the rain. The Woolwax is a tad fragrant. If you've been around any substantial amount of raw wool, you'd recognize it. I got a peek while it was up on the lift. They covered it really well and they also masked everything very well that needed masking.

5 gallon fuel bladder under the hood. Agreed, this is a very bad idea. But why?
