What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Tires last longer than flowers.

 

spent more time in the runner today. I didn't notice any issues with the new screen protector.

 

My 2010 4Runner SR5 came with a dinky single horn. The security alarm uses it, too, without a separate horn near the passenger side firewall.



Replaced it with a set of Hella Supertones P/N 003399801:

 

I changed all the fluids (front differential, rear differential, transfer case, transmission). Installed the RCI Cat guard plates on both side of the transmission skid plate while I had it out. Drove to Lake Cle Elum and walked around the shore with the dog with this nice weather we had today.

 

Ball joint boot blew out & slipped down.
Wheel checks out, no give no play.
Supported steering assembly, cleaned ball & stud, reclipped retainer ring.
Out of the woods for now

Thanks buddy, that's right I seen that. Eta Thursday tho if replacement needed. Luckily I have no tears, I must have overdid it on the grease gun like a rookie

Sexy, I really want these. I do a lot of night driving so it seems like a worthwhile upgrade.

 

The headlight output is actually incredible. The start up sequence for the lights really sold me. After you tear off the bumper the install is very simple.

Yea he backed into my grill. I just put on the shield and lights the other day. Over 7k damage. Joy

 

Oh damn. Sorry to hear that man. On the plus side: it was only cosmetic (mostly) and can be fixed. If it had been way more, someone could've been hurt (or way worse).

That sucks but it will speed up getting a aftermarket bumper. Reminds me I need to install the air horn in mine.

So i just had my mechanic tried to change out the stock running light bulbs to LED bulb from Auxito. Ran into a little problem… the new bulbs didn’t work on both side but when he put the stock bulb back on one side and left the new bulb on the other side the new bulb worked but the stock didnt… no codes came up like the dealership told me might happen if i used aftermarket LED. Anyone have an idea on why this happen?

 

I know there is some folks who don't bull bars. I like this one Tyger Auto. Looks good on there IMHO.

I've got a LED light bar ordered, but waiting for mounting hardware is running late.

 

Got the skid plate installed, hard to see due to night install but my friend got the powder coat pretty close to matching the body. Went with something a bit glossier than my sliders so it’s easy to spray down. Also powder primer undercoat.

 

Working on a rear storage box/drawer/sleeping platform. Will add pics later. Using black Starboard (HDPE) for most of it with most likely wood for the drawer to save a little weight.

Well since misery loves company, if it makes you feel any better the 1st new car/truck I ever bought (2017 Tacoma Limited) - purchased with 6 miles on the odo, someone backed into my front end on the 6th day of ownership - I had 300 miles on there lol.

 

Sorry for that...I have less than 800. I ve had it about 3 weeks. I can only hope parts aren't months out

To each their own, however you just reduced your approach angle by about 6" with that bull bar.

Also, the first "O" on your heritage grill looks to be rotated clockwise by about 45˚.
