Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
I went through the elevation changes on my way west towards Lancaster, PA yesterday. It got high enough in a couple spots that my ears were feeling the change in elevation. My 4Runner spends nearly all of its time close to sea level, and this is my first time experiencing such elevation changes with my 4Runner. It was interesting how pronounced the difference in responsiveness of the engine felt while driving. I don't remember my old Jeep feeling like that in PA.

For me, it was night and day. The Ironman’s were a great intro I feel like. Kings just feels great, and I like the adjustability.

I felt that same way with the Ironman vs. stock. I can’t imagine what it must feel like going up to Kings.

Gear hunting....searching and not knowing if it needs to move higher or down according to throttle etc....I know it's a bit annoying but it is an SUV afterall..and not some sedan. You might benefit from a tunning from one of the vendors that do this stuff. It would definitely make a difference. They have them here on the forum advertising their tunning services.

No tunes for the 2020! Not unless you're getting a supercharger. I don't know if it was the hills themselves as much as it was the elevation, though. I've been up and down hills in NJ, and it's okay. But things get pretty high in PA.

Really, it was fine. It was just that I was experiencing it in the elevation.

After some serious thought I decided to remove my digital dash.

The reason being I'll be taking my 4runner on some serious overlanding in the near future and don't want to chance of a single point of failure.

I will note that if I just planned on having it as a mall crawl I would definitely keep it on because it's cool as fuck!

With that being said, if anyone wants it I am more than happy to give it away.

There is actually. I may have been the first 2020+ tuned . My buddy is CVC tuning and used my car as the tester for 2020+. It’s available now and it’s a game changer. Tell him Anthony sent you ;)

Mine is the same. I just depinned those wires to pull them through. Take a that connector apart and push in where these red dots are and the pull right out. When you are all finished, they slide and clip back in. After the first one, you will see it is very straight forward. Just take a photo of the connector to ensure you put them back in the right order (the black wire on each separate connector is only for ground). Also, the only vehicle integration needed is for the new switch and the OBD II connector. DO NOT CONNECT THE WIRE THAT IS LABELED FOR UNLOCKING! If you do, it will make your blind spot monitor go all wonky. Shoot me a PM if you need any help.

Then stock must be major straight up crap in comparison to King. So I will see Ironman as an upgrade. Don’t know how you are basing the crap vs. not crap. Is it the name on the suspension? If people are not rally racing their car through the desert and hitting jumps I don’t see the purpose. Everything we have back east is slow moving trails. To top it off with everything going on today doesn’t King suspension put an arrow on your back for it being stolen?

Wherever you find yourself there and be content. It’s okay you only made it to stage 5. Be happy with it. :boink:

The highest elevation in PA is 3200'. If you look at this chart, air density only changes by about 2%. You wont really notice a performance change until you get above 8,000' where you lose about 25% of the O2 available in the air. Telluride and all of the passes in the region get upwards of 14,000'. That when you really notice it. Thats about a 40% reduction in available O2. Come west and experience som real power loss!

20k oil change today, the toyota motor oil bottles makes great funnels, they screw right in the fill port. Careful with the first one then cut with a box cutter and good to go. 20220830_100559.jpg 20220830_100551.jpg

This looks great! Do you have a write up on the install anywhere? Curious about the difficulty level/time it would take to install.
