Wonder how this emblem would look painted in the same silver/grey tone as the TRD Pro letters and fitted to the stock section of the 4R grille where the TRD Pro mod piece would go. I can envision painting or wrapping that section black and mounting the emblem for a TRD Pro look without spending over $600.
What are the letter height dimensions? I assume this emblem is flat with no curvature. That might put a dent in my vision since the stock piece has some curvature to it. Worth a try for 20 bucks just to check it out. Thoughts?

If you scuff lightly and/or use a spray primer first, it would work fine. Badge is flat, but has 'some' flex to it, so may be able to curve slightly.

Thanks. Will do some thinking on it. Saw some other single letters on eBay too after looking at your link.

What I have wanted to know is how much more noise do you get from your new tires? I don't want to sacrifice the quietness of my ride.

These tires are surprisingly very quiet. They're the new TOYO RT's. Supposed to be in between an All Terrain and Mud Terrain but these are just as quiet at my last all terrains Wildpeak AT2's.

That roof rack looks awesome. I ordered a roof rack and front bumper from Relentless and can't wait for them to be ready. Thanks for the detailed pictures, those are the best I have seen thus far. Have you used the roof rack much since you installed it?

Anyone else up here in Alaska that wants to play? I left my 5th gen at home for this trip and took my solid axle Tacoma.

    Here is my tutorial

I’ll take more pics later, weather is bad this week

    https://youtu.be/FOW1Nqc3yq4

I couldn’t find it anywhere in stock and the cheapest I saw it was $625 plus shipping. I might have over paid slightly being that I got the “ dealer prices” ! Yay gotta love the dealer

I know!! I’ll be kicking myself later, also I’m not sure that the 2016 and below are compatible like a lot of websites say... , i.e Gen 5, the dealer states there are minor differences between the 17 & 18, and those would be considered “gen 6”

Great Step-by-Step Vid and thanks for pointing out the hidden tabs; Can’t believe prices on these two OEM Parts now… they keep going up …think I’m going to call in on a favor to a family member who works for a Toyota dealer … Looks Nice!

Why not put them on the roof?

o_O Your ladder seems useless now, your rear visibility hampered, and now your rear gate won't work properly.

I called a few dealers in different states, they were all sold out and said the kit was about $800... Here are the parts. You only would need the grill and block lettering logo, the bracket and shroud is already on your 4runner.

your 4runner looks awesome in that snow. I like the scenery and looks like a great trip. I'm trying to get out south/west to some old mining areas in Utah for some basic trailing....

looks awesome! What type of vinyl did you get for the wrap on the bars? I was wanting to do that to mine while I have the stock rack on.

When I traveled to Japan, every car has the window rain guards, I never liked them until I saw how cool the cars looked in Japan and not too mention how awesome they worked in the rain. So yesterday I ordered a set of weathertech window rain guards for my 2018 TRD off road. I wanted the hood shield deflector but not real sure about it as its an adhesive but it looks really low profile and may get that later.

I should get them any day. What do you think? Would you put them on or had experience with these? I only found a few pics on the internet with the 17 and 18 models with the rain guards.

That looked really cool. The pics and info are great. Way back in the early '80's, I did something like that in my '73 Land Cruiser. I took the passenger seat out and laid a piece of plywood down with a piece of foam rubber on top of it for my sleeping bag to lay on. And I had my home fab 10 speed Sting-Ray bicycle packed inside for trail riding. I gotta get out today.
