What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

More progress with the drawer system. Will add the divider for the two drawers tomorrow then paint the inside of the main compartments and the exterior of the drawers Wednesday but may get the paint on tomorrow. Then will add the carpet to the outside and top sections once that’s done install the slides and bolt them to the base plate and together. Only thing I’m waiting on are the Chicago nuts to get here for the drawer slides. Ohhh and we have to go to the this place that sells exotic wood for the drawer faces.



also thinking of adding two pieces of L track to the tops to be able to hold down misc items.

I did mine like this about 3-4 years ago and was concerned it may smell. Even on hot days, long road trips, I've never had an issue.

 

Finished up connecting the dual battery setup. Added a C4 tray with Odyssey group 34 battery. The Blue Sea fuses and ARC are mounted on pieces of the repurposed front bumper over the batteries. I did not want to mount stuff atop the relay/fuse box.


A cut down GM fuse diode in the alternator S fuse slot bumped the charging voltage right up to 14v for the AGM.

Did Alpine just include that bracket to mount it under/between the seat mounts or did you find that elsewhere/fab it yourself? Really look into the same but so far hadn't seen that kind of under seat bracket.

This system is with bracket. You need to remove passenger seat. Bracket goes between floor and seat

 

Installed a pistol case under the passenger seat. Also Lamin-X fog light lenses and carbon fiber black overlays on headlights, taillights and steering wheel emblem overlay.

The weather just isn’t cooperating with finishing this build out. I love my boys but giving up my garage to build them bigger bedrooms is proving to have its downsides. Got the fridge cabinet painted and one of the drawers painted. And the carpet put in the bottom. Then I need to route out the sides for the fridge to get air. The sex bolts will be here Thursday and the slides will go in that side also my high power pc fans will also be here tomorrow to help keep air moving around the fridge. Tomorrow I’m going to try and get the other cabinet painted in and the other drawer so I can get the slides in it. And the drawers mounted. Then get the backing on both cabinets

That was my exact expression when I first heard of them. They are male and female threaded bolts that join together for hd drawer slides. I originally ordered 1/2” ones and they were long enough (that’s what she said) for 3/4” ply

Not OP for this but yes they absolutely connected it to the head unit, otherwise no subwoofing to be had. What may vary is how... here's an example on one way to do it

Most of the suspension showed up. The panhard bar will be here today. Need to order extended bump stops then I’ll get it all mounted up

 

Did the same for my 2019 SR5.

We need extended bump stops for the FCP? I didn’t put those on. Now you got me thinking I need to add some.

If you add anymore extension to the bump stops you won’t have any upwards flex on the front:

 

Departure. My bad. Unless you hit it going up a longer steep spot then is it departure? Or the rear approaching the climb?

Sent off an email to Wicked Creations, as I can't really figure out how exactly this roof rack attaches to the rails on my 4Runner. I'll see if I can get some installation instructions for it. Sadly, the weather has sucked for the past few days, and this weekend isn't looking too good either, so, it's not like I can do much with it yet, anyways.

On the brighter side of things, I've been able to play in some mud a bit!
