I kinda like the green. I’m doing a few things in neon green on my 4Runner to match my dive gear.

 

I’m digging it. Just picked up some fittings the other day to build one myself

Yeah I was contemplating the bigger offset and now I am glad I didn’t go that far out. It would have been way too much for me.

Flash flood warning, new tires, gotta get them out there to test how they perform in the rain. Needless to say I couldn’t find any major puddles and didn’t want to be out more than 30 minutes. Good drain system where I am at I guess. So instead I took pictures of the 4Runner out in the rain.

Got this Nfab grill light mount from @RusPro17 and finally installed it with some KC lights.


Then added these flag magnets from tactilian


Also did some off roading earlier in the week but didn't really get good pics. These things have less ground clearance than I thought they had, but a lift should fix that.

Installed a Sprint Booster. I'm a really mellow older suburban driver, but the stock throttle latency and foot travel required to go faster was not working for me.

Too expensive, but then again I'm glad there was a solution for this.

Got some pictures of the front camera view yesterday. It really shows everything that is missing from view with the long hood. Please excuse the quality of the cell phone pictures.

You’re right, this mod is plug and play in certain trims of certain years. And the actual part changed from a 6 pin device to a 4 pin for MY 2000+.

It’s described in this thread. Read the linked posts. One member listed the combinations in a chart.

Important:
-Get the correct P/N for your 4R.
-Decide if it’s plug and play or if you need to do a wiring mod.
-When you get it, test it before snapping it into the dash. The tabs are oriented such that it will be very difficult to remove if you need to replace it.
-There’s a post that describes how to set up the Entune screen for dimming.

Thanks man, this is my first 4R, got it at the end of Feb. Didn't think to try this because in previous vehicles it turned on interior lights and the cargo/bed light in pickups. Went and tried it while cleaning the Outer Banks out of my truck today and sure enough

 

Good deal. Glad it worked for you. Mine was the opposite. I was kinda disappointed it doesn’t turn on the interior lights. As far as I can tell there’s really no way to do what I want without either opening a door or manually turning on the lights.

 

I have had this question since day one. How do we make a mod to turn on interior lights? Maybe tap a door signal to make the truck think a door is open..? I know little about electricity.
This is a big annoyance (1st world problem) we have with the 4Runner.

Any performance gains? I have been kind of following KDMaxx tuning and they keep saying their Tuning will be available soon. Still waiting. I agree, I have heard the Taco trans is kind of crappy, but even the manual guys have had good success with tuning the 3.5

 

Tinted and will be adding weather tech visors when they come in on Thursday.
