Looks nice and dirty. Was it muddy out there? If I had the time I would've been out there too. I hadn't noticed the high approach cut on your ride. How handy do they come in at the falls?

Might be jumping the gun a bit, but, I've gotten a bit of a head start on some upgrades for my 4Runner and ordered a set of Eibach Pro Truck Sport front shocks E60-82-071-02-10. I'll nab a set of the rear Eibach's later on. Current plan is to use the stock springs, have the rear as standard and set the front to either .8" or 1.6".

...Now, if I just had my 4Runner. *laughs*

Awesome, thanks! That is where I had planned to install mine as well but was concerned that it would interfere with the TSS. No issues I'm assuming?

Are those the regular size, or large? I did the regular size ones earlier this year. I'm still happy with them. Good product!

Hey James, Yes they are the regulars. I think the large are to big. I think these look the best for the 4Runner.

I totally agree. I like mine very much. I think the large might look appropriate on a 4runner with 37's :D

Yeah I think they would if you were to run 37’s they probably would look the best for that size.

Did you know that Toyota has mislead people on the 2021maybe the 20's as well 4 Runners by saying you have LED headlights when I fact these are 50/50 LED low beams and Halogen high beams?

Changed the oil & filter today; 65,000 miles on my 2016 4RTP … Just get so aggravated that Toyota didn’t put a typical oil filter on this truck along with a dip stick you can actually read … Oh well I still love it!

So since Toyota has my 19 4 Runner and cant release it back to me because of the fuel pump was acting up
Lol... Yes but still misleading as you would think LED head lights would mean both High and Low beams. Toyota is buying back my 4 Runner because of the Fuel pump issue and I had a new SR5 picked out and the deal financed and BOOM they can do it on the Tacos but why not the 4 Runners...

Yep they are buying it back as I feel it is unacceptable to wait till April/May to get my T4R back and being with out the ability to use the Utility and capacity of the T4R.

Also plus the fact that they won't let me take the loaner car out of the State as I am going back and forth to fl once a week right now at 3K per week. They cant stop me from taking the RAV 4 out of State there just pissed that it will have 40K when I return it

Quick trip to the wash. It’s her first winter, so I want to keep the salt off as much as possible. Next year I’ll have the underneath professionally coated. After that, quick trip to the store, and when I was walking out, she was looking O’ so good.

I might be keeping the 4 runner.... I think this deal is dead with SR5 premium anyways now....

Plus I get a new T4R with 4 miles on it as I have 50K on mine right now I have no cash out of my pocket plus a 6 yr 125K extended warranty payment stays the same and I am not using mine as I though I would. We'll see where this goes tomorrow I just asked them to toss in the Trail running boards tint my front windows and clear mask the entire from of the new 4 runner

    • Repair: The manufacturer will repair the defect free of charge. This commonly occurs for small, easily fixed defects.
    • Replace: The manufacturer will replace your car or equipment free of charge (minus a certain amount for depreciation) which they made up with the ext warranty
    • Refund: The manufacturer will refund your purchase (minus a certain amount for depreciation). Refunds are only available for car recalls; manufacturers of car equipment are only required to repair or replace defective equipment.
These were my 3 options and it was a better deal to replace it with no cash out of my pocket because with the 6yr 125K ext warranty if they refund my money I lose $1690 bucks which is understandable with mileage of 50K. Toyota could stretch this out for a long time and I still end up with a T4R with 50K and a replaced fuel pump. So I Just need to weigh it out and see what happens

I guess I'm lost. So if anyone takes their 19 rig on the recall to a dealer they have to keep it? in turn they could object and get a new rig? Thats a lot better than Jeep. I had 2 buybacks from them and in the end loss $$ but gained a piece of mind I was rid of their cheap Fiat product

No, But if you take it in for issues related to the fuel pump and it is bad yes they keep it, it becomes a liability at that point if it was to fail and cause injury after but I guess if it was to fail no matter and cause injury I'm sure they are still liable. My issue was that there is no parts for the fix and was going to be 4 months at best for fix so these were my options. Not 100% fair but I will have a new 4 runner and I am not at a financial loss. All they're required to make sure of is no financial loss which I am not...

Old post, but I just went from the bajas to the SS3.
Baja right, SS3 left. You can see how much cleaner the SS3 is to be street legal (not yet aimed in that picture). Just as bright as the bajas but with a proper cutoff!

Buy your old one from insurance. Replace the recall & make $15k! Not even pulling one over on someone.
Also, how do you know your "new" 4runner has an updated part?
I am just curious; not arguing,

Today we took the TRD Pro rack off and installed the Rhino Backbone base. I won't be using the Rhino Pioneer rack, but a set of 8020 material to provide a base for our roof top tent.

Now, the Rhino Backbone, I can only say, stay away from it. The mounting is garbage. Allen head bolts in a place that is near impossible to reach or tighten properly is just crazy and stupid design - just so that they get a little bit of a "look". It's also not quite straight either. It'll do until our Gobirack arrives, but I can't recommend it.

Now, for the TRD Pro rack, that one surprised as as well. It's incredibly light, lots of plastic, but at least the mounting is well done and easy to put on / take off. There was thought put into the fact that you have to torque down the bolts. Not like the Rhino where the named animal might have come up with better mounting ...

Insurance does not own my current 4 runner and there is no parts for the recall (fuel pump) fix. My 4 runner started running rough 10 days ago I took it in and the pump is bad at that point no parts no drive and it sits till they have the parts, so the dealer I bought it from and Toyota corp are now involved as I have elevated it since I am out the use of my 4 Runners capacity and utility, and since I am going to be racking up some miles on the loaner car going back and forth to Fl every couple of weeks at 3K per trip.

And according to Toyota and NTSB website for recall info it says no "recall" found for your VIN but I guess thats a concern as I would hope it would not be...
