Amsoil is good stuff, ran it in my Shelby Mustang. Regardless, I still use Toyota oil in my 4Runner. Toyota oils is made by ExxonMobil I believe and is similar to Mobil1 but is made to Toyota specs.

Best performance mod I have made, makes the 4Runner drivable.

I've never used it before, either. Everything I've been reading and hearing about it makes it seem like it'll definitely be worth it, though.
Thanks! I'll look into a set of those as well. I'll run on the stock suspension for a while, but, down the road I'm thinking about putting some Bilstein 5100s or Eibach Pro Truck Sport shocks on it to either level it out, or maybe even go up another inch or so.

Had my 21 OFRD Premium 3 weeks, so far LED interior lights, full tint, ordered the Billstein 5100 to raise the front 1.5 (should be in next month), small mods inside as well with a cool (IMO) rubber red inserts for cup holders, door cut outs etc. keeping my Nitto RG 265/70/17 for now. Hit 1000 miles today! Happy Holidays all!

Hey Kevin, Heard that noise on my 17 Pro and my 20 Pro. I believe I read it in the manual about the noise.

Just an FYI your full size spare does fit in the OEM location under the truck. No need to keep it in the cargo area.

I’d rather not though; spare takes a beating under there. Especially now that it’s salt season here.

If I was going on a trip right now where I needed the cargo space (between now and bumper/swing out arriving), I’d throw it back under there just for the trip at least though.

It's fine. The bumper is being replaced in a few. And it was a tough trail. Very rocky going in and out of the canyon

1EA5B46F-118A-4F94-984D-A5EF4A507C8B.jpg So when I got my truck I intended on getting legit rock sliders but I needed something ASAP so I grabbed these Tyger brand steps in the meantime. I gotta say they are decent for the price but one major flaw. The shape of them literally slings road grime and dirt right into the door handle  You can see the pattern starts and goes directly for the handle. Not cool.

hmmm. Yeah but at least those would actually protect me from rocks. Certainly will have me looking at the design of them though when I’m back in the market for them.

yeah. My wife is 5’ and my mother in law is 4’8” so I needed something since I got my truck from the dealer with no add ons I think the stock running boards id like more for function though these look better. Since neither one really works for protection from wheeling.

Yeah that is odd that it took that long to here it. I think it hard to here if your vehicle sits outside. I have mine in a garage so it is easy to here.

Tacoma did it all the time and sometimes sounded like a purge
all perfectly normal bleeding out the extra gas fumes in the system kinda like an air bleed system.

Victory 4x4 basket arrived today to go with the molle panels. Also found that over a bit of rough terrain the new sub box would pop out, so incorporated a little L bracket off the molle to sub box to keep it in place.

Then made a couple DIY traction board mounts to keep them from flopping around in the basket. Just a couple 2” x 1” 1/8th steel pieces, center drilled out with a nut welded in place. Then hand knobs with a rod threaded in (this almost sounds like a dirty joke all of a sudden?), with some large flat washers. Had some spare insulation sitting around, so added a couple strips to each one to help from scuffing up the powder coat. I plan to make something better down the road; just quickly threw these together with some spare junk sitting around.

How is it getting the UCA bolt out? On the Tacoma it's a bit of a pain. I'm hoping a little easier on the 4Runner.

Its about the same, based on my experience anyways. When I did my 4Runner not long ago, I just caved and cut them out; put new bolts in from the rear. Didn’t want to deal with the bending , scrapping, contortioning, and what not, like I did on my taco.
