I would say ease of use. The Uhaul trailers have a wrap around tire ratchet strap that's anchored to the front of the trailer. There's no way to use that and NOT have the vehicle all of the way to the front of the trailer.

Yeah, trailer is made for longer vehicles for sure. I guess you could have backed it in to put the motor weight
over the axles, but you made it, thats what counts.

Here's to cleaning out the workshop more often - I was going through some stuff this morning, and discovered the oem Toyota MGM touch-up paint I had bought some time back for my 2013 Tacoma. Never used. With a bottle of clear coat besides. I had considered getting some for my MGM 4R, as I thought I had left the touch-up paint in the truck when I sold it...:bananadance:

Research shows both trucks have the same paint code.

Loaded up Frosty for my wife and daughter. They are off to the coast for a week. They are also taking my mother in law and uncle in law. It’s their annual trip and finally we have a vehicle that can fit everyone and everything. I’m stuck with her Forester till Sunday.

They are also bringing 2 medium dogs!

What is that cap thing on the top of the compressor? Just a cap that keeps dirt out when not in use??

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
The front tires have to be up against the stops at the front of the trailer in order to get the tire straps around the tires. I thought of that too but it just wouldn't work.

The top would have ripped off within the first mile lol. It was an old top and in bad shape. It got a little over 500 miles and it started coming apart as it was so I had to stop and take it off. I probably should have just started with it off but we did hit rain and I was trying to avoid getting the interior wet mostly because the gas tank sits on the floor under the driver's seat and if water gets under it the bottom rots out or you have to remove the tank and dry it all out. A pain in the butt but that's the way it was designed.

I already did that way back in 1998 when I first got it. It's restomodded because the guy I bought it from changed the engine that had thrown a rod. He had a 1977 Pontiac Sunbird sitting in his driveway and took the 4 cyl. from that and adapted it in. It's actually a pretty good little engine. The frame is perfect but I welded in new floors and supports. The body is not too bad considering it's over 70 years old. Drive line is good too. Replaced some seals, the complete brake system/ changed the wheels and tires and all new fluids. It's been a pretty fun project.DSCN4890.jpg DSCN4890.jpg DSCN4889.jpg DSCN4892.jpg

I put a huge gouge in my rear bumper when I hit a classic Michigan pothole and the empty trailer I was towing jumped the ball and slammed into me. Does that count?

Love the honest review lol I ordered my lift kit a week ago now (different vendor) there is ~$1300 hold on my cc (they seem to not be charging until shipped) ... seemed annoyed with me when I called to ask to find out what was going on. ‍♂️

I cancelled my order with them back at the beginning of the month since their response to when it would be back in stock was “thanks for reaching out.” Lol

asked them today the size of the hex nuts for the awning and “bubba” said he didn’t know and that was his extent of service.

oh well. Only awning that was in stock, plus I’m pretty sure all the brands are manufactured in the same Chinese warehouse (hence them all being out of stock)

thanks man! Will keep you updated. C4 bumper should be here in a couple of weeks too

It's kind of a Frankenstein idea from another forum but it's basically two pieces of 38x24" 1/2" plywood put together with 3 - 2x2" supports underneath and covered with indoor/outdoor carpet to semi-match the inside.

I removed the hump over the gap between the cargo area and the back of the seats which comes away easily as it's held together with 2 - 10mm bolts and one plastic clip. This allows the platform to come up flush with the seatback. I then removed the bottom passenger-side seat cushion which is held on by 2 - 14mm bolts. This gives you extra length if you're on the taller side.

Finally, I have a small Rubbermaid storage container on the passenger-side floorboard to cover the gap which gives you a whopping 6'5" of length. Add bedding of your choice (I bought this memory foam sleeping pad on Amazon and not pictured is my sleeping bag, extra blanket, pillows, etc.) and you have a pretty cheap car camping solution. I also have WeatherTech sunshades for all my windows to completely blackout the interior as well as mesh window covers and battery-powered fans for warm nights when I need air but don't want the bugs.

They look better than the raptor lights if you ask me. They look bright. I hope that isn't a problem for you.

No problems yet. I got them at ijdmtoy.
As for the raptor lights, everyone has them here and oddly there are a ton of my color 4R in my area.
