    Indeed.

Oil change was all we had time to do yesterday; other services come shortly.

I'm currently doing an oil & filter change along with washing the air filter and replacing the cabin filter.
Then zero out the mileage and drive it in to town for dinner. A rack of ribs sounds good right now.

Cabin - My Wife got a box of 24 from her Ebay savvy buying technique. They are very comparable to ToMoCo factory items.
Air - AEM Dry media. I wash it at every oil change. 120,000 miles with the same filter.

Seems the website didn't exist until 2022
    https://who.is/whois/minwin3d.com

and the first facebook seems to have gone live in 2023 though the 3d files have been around for much longer, the innovation for the magnet .. seems to be a "recent" development in the last 3 years.

Latest for the Sloths updates, TRD engine skid (Cartrimhome), Rival post skid, sway bar links & bushings front with grease tips, Cartrimhome T10 V2.1 head unit (this thing is awesome)! All so far has been adventure to fit some things as the Sloth is early 5th gen and most of these sites think 5th gen frames & body are the same, I will tell you they are not! But I am getting through it and learning along the way. The old Pioneer factory head unit seems to practically weigh 50LBS! compared to the cartrimHome T10 v2.1 their support is great, as is Rival (Gunter at the factory got torque happy with one of the oil drain plug hatch screws) support is speedy.
Back up camera is Awesome with a bit fuzzy because of old camera. I had worn boot driver side rear sway link, new ones made a difference, next is Bilstein 5100's for the rear, if your wondering what the yellow slime is on the frame it's Lanolin from Amazon to coat the rusty welds, Great stuff if i may say.IMG_1839.jpg IMG_1839.jpg IMG_1657.jpg IMG_1906.jpg IMG_1881.jpg IMG_1656.jpg IMG_1877.jpg early 5th gen and most of these sites thinkable 5th gen frames & body are the same, I will tell you they are not! Finally got these same recovery points I bought from a member on the forum. One's already painted, the other bare metal, so I'll prep, primer, and paint the one, and maybe give the painted one a coat just so they match. Going to chase the threads on the mounting holes and get these mounted this weekend.

While I'm at it, I may fine tune the parking brakes a bit more.

This (plus the socks w/sandals, yelling at kids to get off your lawn and wearing your cell phone on your belt clip) makes you officially an old man.

Years ago I tried some of these, and eventually discarded them.

I've found that adjusting my mirrors out that I cannot see the side of the vehicle and it requires me to just lean my head to see the side of the vehicle, that has the mirrors adjusted where I can see the next lane & omitting the blind spot.
    Worked for years for me!

There is tested and proven methods to properly adjust the mirrors
    https://www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.gov/files/blindzoneglaremirrormethod.pdf

And all the manufactures use this when designing vehicles for the US market.

But as far as optional mods go .. the blindspot mini mirror is pretty minor.

You could also get the glass for the 4runner from an international seller

Dropped all of my skids this afternoon so I can run it through the car wash this weekend (with undercarriage wash) and will then touch up the frame with Waxoyl once it sits for a day or so. I also bought two cans of Eastwood Internal Frame treatment plus to hit the insides which should keep me rolling along for years.

Interesting that he is showing the RAV4 mirror with no plug for heat.
The ones I placed do, in fact, have that plug. They do not have BSM. But neither does my 2019 so it is a non issue for me. I know for a lot of members, losing BSM is a non starter.
FWIW, I love the RAV mirrors.

Changed the oil, installed a fumoto valve and metal filter housing, sprayed the underside with fluid film, lubed the prop shaft.

As usual, the plastic filter housing must have been previously tightened with an impact. Had to use a breaker bar with an extension to break it loose, which of course broke the housing. Why do dealers do that!?! Having broken the previous 2 plastic ones I’ve had, I was ready with a metal one standing by. Was hoping to reuse the plastic one, but it is what it is.

Are there any tricks to re-mounting the TRD skid plate? It’s kind of hard to hold up there while lining up the bolts. Any other skids out there with windows cut into them? My RCI skid plate on my old tundra had a window which was nice.

I know its not a what I did to my 4runner, but i just changed the oil on my wifes 2016 Mazda CX5 in 15 mins. Spin on oil filter and pan drain plug are 3” apart under one 14”x12” plastic pop off door. Nothing else had to be removed.

took me longer to clean up than do the oil change. Why cant the 5th gen 4runner be this easy.

    overtightened filter = laziness

floor jack helps with the lifting of the TRD skid plate

General consensus is to perch the skid plate on a floor jack to hold it up while starting the bolts.

There are any number of skid plates available with access panels for the oil filter canister. Cartrimhome has their version of the TRD skid with an access door.

I used to place the skid on my lap, slide under the truck, lift and hold it with my knee and start the bolts. After doing Saker's mod, i put the skid in place and hold it with one hand while installing the acorn nuts (takes two minutes).
