    Oooh look, another mod.....

I've had the FitCam 4k for about 11 months now and love it. Here are a few videos showing the quality at different times of the day (low light, perfect weather, at night)

Installed the NYTOP front recovery points. My huge torque wrench made clearance a challenge, but otherwise it was a pretty straightforward installation.

I washed it, vacuumed it, put a few more Rip N Dip stickers on...and then watched as the heavens opened up and dropped a metric shit ton of rain on my freshly washed vehicle.

I tried using the OVS 180 with the Gobi brackets for the first time today. I purposefully tried not overtightening the brackets so I didn't deform tubes and mess up PC.

Word of caution - the wind can get underneath the awning and flip it back over the top of the vehicle, rotating the brackets right off the Gobi rails. Ask me how I know.

Luckily the awning flipped and landed upside down on the roof rack without falling off or hurting anyone. I had three large spots of PC that scraped off when the brackets rotated that I've already starting touching up so they don't rust.

Guess I'll be cranking down the brackets a bit more when I put it back on and using the guy lines to keep it down

Skid plates installed. What a pain. Had to open up a few holes to get it to line up. But overall happy with the look. Definitely beefier over the factory.

Used it to tow ATV to FRO Darkwater for some riding. Somewhere between Here & there I lost my round 7 pin to 4 & 5 flat pin & pigtail, unless someone took it:notsure:. I was on the end where trail starts in parking lot, I used to remove that when boating. Guess I'll be doing that from now on.

Yup. I definitely wanted to keep that. I actually just cut the bottom section to show more of the skid plate.

Toyota also makes a matching one for the 4WD selector, I think it’s off of an FJ Cruiser.

I had the KDSS version on my old '21 and they were great, held up well. The two things that annoyed me about them was that there was no oil filter access without dropping the front section and on the KDSS version, the oil drain access hole in them did not line up with the oil pan drain bolt. Besides those 2 annoyances they a great bang for you buck skid.

Read my mind. I was just thinking, I wonder if they make a black shifter for the transfer case. Guess that’ll be my next mod. Lol.

Still waiting for my RCI sliders. Didn’t realize it was going to be 10 weeks. Getting impatient but only have a few weeks left at this point. Then I’ll be able to drive over and pick them up.

Still trying to dial it in. 32psi just seems way too soft for these stiffer sidewallled tires. I think 34-35 feels about right? Still get plenty of contact patch across the tread.

    How about you?

I've googled to see if moving from a 113 OEM spec tire to a 116 XL tire would require an increase in psi. Haven't found much info but most of it says no increase needed. But it sure feels like it needs a couple more psi to me.

I ran 34/35 for about 2000 miles just because I read that the tyre has thicker side walls.
But the ride was extremely unsteady at highway speeds with absolutely no steering feed back.
Dialed it back to 32psi 500 miles back and now rock steady, no continuous steering correction and super comfortable ride quality. But the damn mpgs are gone for good.

I have a Fumoto drain plug and will just add a tube to drain the oil. I had to remove the factory skid plate to change the oil filter so that’s nothing new.

I bought a 12 pack of Michelob Ultra Light Organic beer about 2 months ago. I still have 2 cans left.
Wife has me on a diet, she hid my 12 pack of Modelo. JD and Mineral Waters are my friend.

Still the best one for the 4runner. All black with white stitching.
The old one though slightly worn from the top after 14 years was still perfectly fine otherwise. That is phenomenal quality for such a contact part.
