What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

4th gen Eibach rear springs. Same spring rate, only lift .75" vs 1" lift of Gen 5 springs

 

Drove the SR5 to work this am and filled up with gas!

 

Drove the 11 to watch my granddaughter play soccer.

 

Added durostop bump stops, which i never changed when i lifted it.

 

Decided to take a small syringe.....tubing.....and run a bit of water down the front sunroof drains. They're open. Gonna grab some weedeater line and run that up the rear drains to make sure they're open now.

 

Found this storage bag on eBay for that odd shaped area in the back, liked it better than the covers that I've seen people add to this spot. Wanted a place to store jumper cables, first aid kit, etc.. for now. Would definitely recommend, fits perfect despite the picture I took with some items stuffed in there already.

 

Went for a drive to see if I had any trees got blown over in the wind storm yesterday.

 

I finally got the midland MX575 installed. Spent 6hrs doing this job with the help of a friend. We took our time as I didn't want to remove the ARB compressor to get the wires thru the firewall. Got the ghost antenna right by the roof rack and had to drill on the side but ok, at least I can go thru the garage with no issues. Radio seems pretty powerful to me. I'll find a mount for a higher location close to the dash but for now right the molle panel will do. Take your time if you are doing this job yourself.

I had to look at his post again. That bag is brilliant. If I didn't have a JBL stuffed in there I'd get one for sure.

Installed a black hood scoop. Put PPF around the edges first. Also added some make shift washers (shampoo bottle) between the hood and nuts as I noticed the nuts were damaging the hood.

 

Nice! I'm going to order one for my 4Runner.

 

I did that sometime last year (OEM one). As simple as it is, makes a HUGE difference in how it looks.

 

Have you tested your 4Lo/1st speed lately?

 

Drove it over to the gun store to pick up an order(along with an unplanned addition to my collection that I found there). Then I went to the car wash, got the 4Runner clean and shiny again. Got gas and headed back home.

Installed a Garmin Dash cam. Ordered the wire from trailgridpro that’ll allow me to use the auto dimming mirror wire so you don’t see any wires for the dash cam. Right now I just have the wiring going around the visor and down by the glove box and to the cig lighter plug.

 

Why not use the covers and the storage bag? Two good ideas combined!

 

I gotta stay off this thread. I just bought more shit of my SloRunner. (The hard plastic cover piece & some plastic pieces to cover up exposed bolts/cargo hooks).

 

Tint match driver and passenger doors

 

I don't know how you guys do it but it does look good. I got 20% added to all my glass but only went with 30% on the driver and passenger windows. Living out in the country where there aren't any street lights, I have to roll down my window to make the left turn onto my road.

 

My GF put 20% on sides and 30% on the front windshield. Driving out in the stick is dark AF and she wants to get darker tint in the future.

It only bothers me in the winter time, when the sun comes up later and goes down sooner. In Texas, we barely get 3 months of winter, and 9 months of summer. The trade off to have a cooler interior is worth it.

But during Dec - Feb, I have to roll down my drivers window (sometimes), when the street isn't well lit and it's night time.






I have illegal tint on mine. I think it's 5% all the way around.
