I'm convinced that those with long lists of items waiting to be installed do not how to work on their own rigs.

I work long hours as well, and have a very busy life, but still manage to install whatever parts come in.

The longest thing I had sitting were my wheels because I wasn't sure what size tires I was going to use. Once I decided on the tire size, those wheels and tires were on the 4runner the next day.

On my other rig, I had full suspension sitting for a maybe 2 days before I put them on. Like I said, I have a busy life and still manage

Been wrenching for 30+ years, not in a hurry to toss things on right away. As a federal first responder I don't have the luxury when a emergency comes around.

Perhaps they live in cold areas.

    And/or don't have garages.

Maybe it's been raining for months.

    Or snowing.

    Or they have children.

Maybe those children are involved with school and sporting activities that require a lot of after school and/or weekend time.

Maybe they have activities they like to do that has precedence over wrenching on shit.

Or maybe all of these at the same time.

    Two things:

    1) The ECGS bushing replacement kit has been sitting on my bench for a few months waiting for the rain to stop. Originally was supposed to be a pre-emptive move, but am getting the resonance from the front in 2WD indicating it's time.

    2) Have been living with shitty sound for a year even after doing major work to install an amp (AudioControl D-4.800), sound deadening, and a sub. Have concluded that head unit has hopelessly poor signal quality. Went to do some tweaking on the DSP last week and the serial port on the amp is now not working. Frustrating. Would advise others seeking better sound to either deal with the POS that it comes with or dump the HU altogether.

it’s kids for me. I have to do everything on weekend mornings IF there is not a game or other event we are doing. I only have a short list again. Plano case and shovel mount on my pro rack (it’s about $60 in parts from a hardware store, a Plano rifle case and some Yakima mighty mounts) and my FJ Toyman shock mount sliders. That will do it until I break something else, or figure out I need something for function.

So I got the tires installed (255/80/17 Toyo Open Country AT3, Load E, on TRD Pro wheels) and it really doesn't feel much different. My shaking at 60mph went away so that's cool too. Lol. Still going to regear eventually, I'm eyeing 4.56. We'll see.

Every ones priorities are different. And honestly, working on my vehicle isn’t my top priority. I have shit from when I had my taco still sitting around, and could careless, today.

I hear that! Working on my vehicles is one of my least favorite things to do. I almost regret buying a lift, because I'm dreading installing it.

I used to enjoy wrenching when I was a kid, but I'm over it now.

If you buy brand new, yes. I bought a used option. Still pricey I think but would be similar to an aftermarket headunit. I wanted a bigger screen and android auto but also wanted to keep it OEM so I was willing to pay a bit more.
