2009 Honda Accord. Drove it for 11 years and put 280K miles on it. Now my dad drives it to get around town, and I still have the car I had before the Honda, which I plan on keeping.

I get the 2019 replacing the 2008, but why the 2020 replacing the 2019? o_O

Haha, long story... So, I felt like with the 2019, it came with a little streak of bad luck. I had the sunroof blow out on me one day while driving to the office. Someone also hit the back bumper in a car park (either going in or coming out of the space next to me), and left no information. Once i had the bumper repainted, i thought that I wasn't going to wait for a third incident.

It worked out well, since the 2020 has a better and bigger radio, and a lot more features. One thing that i started researching how to install a 2020 radio in a 2019, I just figured as well, it's just less headache to go with the 2020. I got a great deal on it, so it was tough to pass up.

    Cheers,

    Sean

2005 Honda CR-V EX that I bought new in 2005. After 284K of completely reliability, I traded it in with a failing A/T towards my 2016 Trail Premium.
I REALLY wanted to get to 300k but it wasn't going to be feasible, sadly.

Whoa, you had one of those 'exploding' sunroofs? I can only imagine what that was like while driving down the road.

I've had every brand of full size gas and diesel truck pretty much, and haven't enjoyed any of them as much as I've enjoyed(and been impressed by) the 4runner

2010 FJ Cruiser with 161,000 miles on her. Trading it in this coming Friday for a 2021 4Runner TRD/ORP. Going to be hard letting the FJ go. Never a problem. Just regular maintenance. Bout it new in March 2010. But it's been a good long run. But at least I'll be getting the exact same drive train as the FJ.

I parted ways with two vehicles to get my T4r,

Traded in a 2012 boss 302 LS (number 95 of 760ish total made that year) Fun car, but I honestly prefer smaller lighter rwd sport coupes like my old brz. and it got real old being followed by every cop I passed by because this thing was not quiet or subtle by any means and it was completely stock.

The other was an absolute gem of a 91 toyota pickup with a 22re, 4x4 and a 5 speed manual. LOVE LOVE LOVE that truck, it had 230k miles, didn't burn a drop of oil, shifted into gear like butter and got me everywhere. but getting a second dog made it a wee bit tight in the cab.

I just bought a 2021 T4R TRD ORP to replace my beloved 2018 Taco TRD OR. I loved that Taco. And it kept me safe while taking one for the team. It will be missed dearly but I already love the 4R for several reasons. Now working to get the T4R up to speed with a lift, tires, wheels etc...

Had a 17 Mitsubishi Lancer. Base model CVT. It was just as bad as it sounds. I'm gonna get another Lancer but it's going to be from the late 90s

Mate, it was not fun... It sounded like a gunshot that came through my vehicle. It scared the living Jesus out of me.

2007 Gen 1 Sequoia 2wd with about 75K. Would have kept it forever but it had corrosion issues. Still might have kept it as a hunting truck if it was 4wd. We seriously considered another Sequoia. The fact that we could get a new 2019 4 Runner that doesn't care if we change lanes without signalling, will run into the car in front of you with the cruise control and has no idea if you have your hands on the wheel was the deciding factor.

Had a 2020 Honda Pilot before my 2021 4R. I regretted buying that Pilot after a month in. Made a weird throttle body noise that sounded like a whoosh and click. Took it to dealership and after having the car for 3 days, they said "working as designed". The sound became more noticeable. Wasn't sure if it was me being hyper aware of the noise or if it was actually getting worse. After getting rear ended and a rock puncturing the radiator, felt like I needed a change. Becoming a remote worker made the decision much easier as I didn't have to worry about gas as much. Best decision getting the 4R. Love it.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
My 2009 Jeep Liberty Renegade was my previous vehicle until February last year. I know it was a piece of crap in the eyes of the car-loving public, but I loved it. I loved how cheap and plasticy the interior was. It was plenty capable at not too much of a price, too. It got me out of a sticky situation when Hurricane Sandy hit New Jersey back in 2012. Unfortunately, it developed issues as it aged. I don't put so many miles on my vehicles to begin with, so even though it was old it still fell apart rather prematurely in terms of mileage. The big ones were that it was on its third heater core, and it would have needed a third transmission if I decided to keep it. I did not decide to keep it, and I ended up with a 4Runner instead. The Liberty did spoil me, though. It really drilled into my mind what an SUV should be. Really, the only thing non-Wrangler that compared at the time of getting my 4Runner was the 4Runner unless I wanted to go way, way, way up in price. So many "SUV"s these days are just front wheel drive-based station wagons that are a bit higher, a bit taller, and a bit stubbier. Even the current Cherokee, which the Liberty replaced its predecessor, is a far cry from either the Liberty or the old Cherokee. It's just a front wheel drive-based station wagon. Totally lame.

That was the final mileage. So low. While it took me all the way down to Georgia and all the way up to Ontario, I think I was pushing my luck more than I should have on those trips :D

A really solid 88 Wrangler. It was a lot of fun and really reliable. Like my 4runner it had zero rust. But it was too unrefined for long trips and with no A/C it was used simply as a toy for me. With the 4runner we can drive from home to our mountain place, (about 5.5 hours), then enjoy it on the "trails" er forest service roads. No way I would've driven the Jeep for 5.5 hours mostly on the interstate. Very happy with the 4R. But, sometimes I still miss the Jeep.
