I suspect the silver will age better, but I couldn't resist the Stormtrooper look. :)

Yes. It is called the 426 Hemi. Liters are for millenials...

There are a couple of different variants of the 426 hemi; either a single 4bbl carb, or the dual 4bbl carb version. It was first offered in Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth vehicles in 1965 and was discontinued in 1971.

Chrysler first introduced the "hemi" motor in 1951 and that generation of motors came in 331, 354, and 392 cubic inch versions. The 426 "elephant motor" hemi was the first pure high-performance hemi, as the earlier motors were available in everything from sedans to 1-ton pickups.

I grew up in the golden age of muscle cars and purchased a 1965 GTO for $1700. I am primarily a Ford guy, but have owned all brands and love them all.

Growing up, my buddy’s family was a chevy family. Had an old split window they took to hit august nights, 3 camaros, 3 novas, and an old step side. The dad was AVID Chevy, but he had 4 pristine hemi’s in show condition on stands around the back yard. Those things were gorgeous to a 16 yr old with a ‘68 Skylark.

I traded my beloved 2014 Jeep SRT in on the wife’s 4R Pro. I already had my Tundra, and the SRT was coming off the 7 year / 70K warranty. All 70K miles were 100% trouble free. Best vehicle I have ever owned, and I enjoyed every mile. I kick myself for not buying another one, but thought the 4R would have been a better rig for the wife, and they hadn’t really changed anything at all in the SRT since 2014.

Don’t get me wrong, the Pro 4R is a great rig that my wife loves. However, she loved the SRT more, and prefers my Tundra.

In hind sight, I should have just given her my Tundra to drive and bought the new Trackhawk.

You would probably enjoy a trip to the Woodward Dream Cruise where all those old classics cruise up and down Woodward avenue in August. They even have one night designated for burnouts.

It is a very neat event and in my opinion celebrates American history.

Chevy had a billboard a few years back that said something to the effect of

“When it was the roar of your engine that got peoples attention and not the ring of your cell phone”

    My how times change

My buddy just traded his 4R for this Wrangler Rubicon with 35s (from factory). Now he got proper sway bar disconnect..:D:D

My wife gave me a big warning "NO MORE NEW VEHICLES..!!". Maybe I shall ask in few months. It's really good to have this configuration right from factory with warranty..!!

Lol, that's funny, wish I'd be a as young... Not being such an aficionado it is harder for me to remember engine in cubic inches. Anyways, my favorite oldie (by design) is 1970 Camaro SS - although I don't think they came with such a powerful engine like the Road Runner. Wouldn't mind any muscle car of that era to be quite honest...

Haha, We had 2 1500 Ram trucks, one EcoDiesel 2015 one Hemi 2019, wife was driving the EcoDiesel, which was tuned, ran like a dream, no issues, 24mpg consistently. She did not like the bed from a practical point (she is only 5.5), so we got the 4runner and took advantages of the crazy market to sell the EcoDiesel for a great price. Now she drives the other 1500 because she like the space and security, and I drive the 4runner - which I quite honestly enjoy btw... kind of funny how some things work out.
