    Well, as a 10-year 4Runner owner, I humbly and enthusiastically recommend…mine! A 20-something risks everything to chase his dream, finding love, adventure, purpose, and - eventually - himself. Just like I did. :)

    Readers have called it “a thoroughly enjoyable read” and “entertaining whether you’re in the aviation industry or not,” and described the writing as “clever, meaty, and often poetic.”
    ==
    Drew, a twenty-something fed up with his unhinged boss and the schtick of sales work, brashly quits to chase his dream—right into the dog-eat-dog financial chaos of the 1980s airline industry. After nearly going broke, he lands a part-time gig slinging bags for a quirky little carrier. It’s half the pay, and the industry is in a fiscal nosedive, but who cares? Between loving the work and hopping free flights, he’s having a blast!

    Then an in-flight tragedy becomes a life-altering fork in the road. Helping a grieving family work through the aftermath sparks an unlikely romance—and a whirlwind of carefree adventures across the country. But economic realities soon close in, and there’s no avoiding the hard truths—or the tough choices—needed to survive in an infamously volatile business.

    I don't usually have a book stashed in my 4Runner but I did recently finish "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" by John Boyne as a side quest read while I chip away at reading "Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith.

    I’m listening to the Joe Picket audiobooks on road trips, they’re a great series to make the miles fly by.
    Gotta agree with your assessment of the TV show. I was disgusted after 2 1/4 episodes and abandoned it.
