98 4runner

I recently bought a 98 4runner limited with 162k miles. Here's the problem. when I start the vehicle and start to accelerate with a slight turn it makes a sound almost like the fan hitting the shroud, but that's not it. it only does it once. It doesn't do it again until I shut the vehicle off and and repeat. what could it be?
