    Hi, all.

Long story short, I never thought I would be a guy who bought a new car, much less a new truck -- but here I am, waiting on an 2021 MGM TRD Pro allegedly being built in Tahara on October 26th.

I know, a lot of you may roll your eyes at the Pro and wonder why I didn't just use the money to mod a TRD ORP, but there is something about having it all factory original that appeals to me.

And after shopping around the lightly used market a bit, and even contending with dealers that wanted $3K above MSRP for new, I found one at a price I can tolerate.

Now I just can't wait for delivery...

Kinda cool knowing the birth date of your truck! Welcome, and expect the anxiousness to increase over the next few weeks.

Apparently getting anything off MSRP for the TRD Pro is difficult, so I figured I would go for it when the dealer offered a reasonable discount off of same. Figure that I would pick the trim level where there's basically little to no room to negotiate!

But yes, I am excited to have my Scorpio truck.

Congrats & welcome from flyover country.

Well done negotiating anything below MSRP on a Pro.

Welcome. You’ll be happy you got the Pro. No regrets here! I’m with you. I’ve modified so many jeeps in the past I wanted something that was exactly how I liked right off the assembly line. Enjoy it!

For sure, I will not be able to stop with the pictures when it arrives.

Believe me, I am just glad that there is a well-developed online community about this new obsession, especially during COVID. The lady definitely cannot stand my talking about this truck anymore, especially since I decided back in July I was doing this -- and it has legitimately taken this long to find one. Starting with a terrible Chrysler/Jeep dealer in Brooklyn with a 2018 Pro, then two blown private deals for used examples (like an Ohio-based 2018 TRD ORP jumped up to look like a Pro, and a 2019 Pro in West Virginia, neither of which had clear title (seriously?)), I then started more conversations with dealers in a 500 mile radius than I care to admit -- and finally one of the first I went to see in person earmarked one for me and isn't even trying to get MSRP.

Thanks for your welcome; looking forward to learning plenty more...

No Jeep-guy d-bags here, rolling their eyes at anyone without a 10"lift. I find the vast majority of the users here very cool, whether you roll a stock SR-5 or modded to the hilt rock crawler. For the most part, everyone does their thing and supports one another - welcome to the forum.
