Hi, my name is Robert Gordon and I just bought my first car. A '97 4runner, it came with its own bit of issues but I've fixed most of them. I just need to know which vehicles can be cross matched to a 3rd gen 4runner for exterior parts and possibly electrical components. If you have any info to help, post here.

The 3rd Gen 4Runners and 1st Gen Tacomas share a good bit of parts I believe.

In terms of engine, the 3rd gen 4R and 1st gen tacoma are very similar, my dad has a 2004 tacoma and pretty much everything is the same except for the fact that mine is a suv (96 4R SR5).
