    Hi everyone.

I've used this site several times as my 2010 4Runner is starting to show some hiccups. All my questions have been answered through this forum and so I decided to join and hopefully assist other members.

My latest attempt to upgrade my vehicle was to install new LED lights for the both L/R front turning and daylight running lights. It was not successful. This morning, the lights were on and I am not sure when they went out but when I got home, the lights were out.

After researching for my solution, I decided to replace the LEDs for the old bulbs. And Voila, I have lights. I'll mark this down as a 50 dollar failure. Lesson learned.

I think I read somewhere that if there were issues like this... to try reversing the polarity on the bulbs.

    Welcome.

Some of the older Tacoma's (5 years+) were finicky with led upgrades. Strange thing was sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't (you are a case in point). Lots of factors to consider (bulb type, brand, electrical probs, etc). By 2014 they were pretty much plug and play. Anyway, I'd imagine a 2010 t4r could behave similarly.

While LED's are mostly plug and play in more recent years, often (always?) a relay is necessary for lights that blink/flash.
