Does anyone else have the issue of their phone not connecting via usb. I sometimes have to disconnect and reconnect two to three times for it to connect. Once it does connect i cannot pause or play from the truck controls i can only skip songs on the truck the rest must be done on the phone itself. It is an iPhone6 it was just replaced through warranty because the battery kept breaking. I have tried diffrent cords and all the cords are apple cords any one have a solution, it is a 2016 trail and this issue is annoying when all i do is use the USB and at 5 in the morning i am too tired to keep fiddling around with it.

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
I have an iphone 6S and so far so good, although I mostly just stream via Bluetooth and only use the USB when it needs a charge.

I've never connected my phone via USB, just via BT. I thought thruUSB, you can only play music from a thumb drive. I guess I'll have to try it out sometime to see the difference in audio quality. The BT connection is so convenient though.

Goodluck, let us know if and how you fixed the issue permanently.

It is a lot better quality louder and more clear, plus charges your phone.
