    Hi all

My TRD Pro has just tipped past 2yrs and, since we're about to move to the Cascades, I figure getting the underbody/chassis treated and rust proofed is an essential job this summer!

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good shop in the Cle Elum/Ellensburg areas specifically, or Seattle in general?

    Thanks.

Why? Water alone does little. Water and a salt combined with above freezing temps is the problem. They really don't salt in the Cascades, or west WA.

    I live in Eastern WA.

Save your time & money of paying someone......

A few years back.....I just ordered the Woolwax kit from Amazon and hooked it up to the air compressor and did it myself for my Tacoma and Ford Raptor.

Thanks for the suggestions, and the recommendation on the treatment. We have something at home called Waxoyl and seems pretty similar to that.

I also hadn't realised they didn't salt to the same degree in WA as they do on the East Coast but I was told the one weakness the 'Runner has is the chassis rotting out. Pretty much just carrying a box of Morton table salt back from the shops is enough to start the process of oxidisation!

It might be over cautious but I feel like if they're so sensitive to rot it'd be worth protecting it even from what little salt corrosion exists on the West Coast.

Cougs are amazing people. We're tougher and most of the time a bit more humble than your average college alum......with the exception of myself of course.

WSU and all Coug fans are facing some dire realities real soon. It's gonna be weird and hard to get out of the hole created by our President and former AD.

Agreed! I will always be a die hard Coug, and will continue to make several pilgrimages to Pullman every football season for games but I kinda feel like I'm in limp mode and lost as the season approaches.

I think your statement right there sums up the majority of us......and it's a real shame. WSU's leadership hasn't been great....with Schulz and Chun.

As the landscape and business of college athletics is changing at warp speed, they were flat out "lost". Their incompetence is now compounded.....and with them both now leaving.....the State of Washington and the Alumni are being forced to pick up the pieces.

    Lol

when these undercarriage treatments say they’re permanent they mean it.
I did some nights in the summer with only shorts and sandals on. Big mistake

Neither frame has/had any issues and I never treated it. We're not really a rust state. You will be fine not undercoating.

Thanks everyone, that's some really sound advice and good lived experience too. I might hold off tarring most of myself and only some of the car for the time being, then!
