If you altered the factory set up of a vehicle in any way, the burden of proof in a court of law if you hit and injure or kill someone will be on you. You then have to show a bunch of non car people and attorneys and judges that nothing you did to change the geometry or function of the vehicle contributed to the accident. Then when they contact Toyota corporate and the memo they sent to all toyota dealers in the world surfaces, you will have to prove you knew better that them. I say buy a 10 million dollar liability insurance policy and lift away, or not. I’m not an attorney but I’ve had experience with issues like this in regards to the courts and Toyota. If you don’t believe me, I urge you to contact your own attorney, like I did.

How will having TSS make you any less liable in an accident? Its not a federally mandated feature. Now if it was and you disable it that is cause for something.

So you upgrade your tires from the factory size to aftermarket you are going to be more liable too then because you added more weight?

I just got my 2020 TRD Pro. I live in Montana, we get snow. About 10 miles into my drive and my dash and info center light up with messages about an inactive sensor. I may not have read enough about it yet, but I wasn’t able to turn it off and use my cruise control.

My dealer must not have gotten the memo. The parts and accessories guy said Toytec is working on a lift for the Pro.

Just hit the button on your steering wheel and TSS will shut off. One button for lane watch and the other is cruise distance keeper. Once off you can use cruise just fine

Rule 1. Dealers sell cars and either lie, stupid or don't care, uninformed or combinations of all the above. Toytec has confirmed there setup wont work with 19/20 fox struts. Eibach is doing R&D on a fox pro system at this time, due out shortly. Tell your dealer parts and accessories guy to put that in his pipe and smoke it

I pressed that button over and over to disable, but it only gave me the same warning message. When the sensor was clear, pressing thE button only changed the sensitivity, but didn’t turn it off. I need to go to the manual.

On another note, why isn’t there blindside monitoring or parking sensors. My 2016 Taco had it.
