Less the 30k, plus my 4runner is garage kept. The underneath of my 4r looks brand new haha. But we won't be heading down south until summer of 2023... I'll tack on $200 as well

I have an OEM exhaust system in houston. Only 15K in it, looks good. And yes, I agree the drone on the PRO is just too much. I managed to add a resonator in the back but still hear some noise. PM if anyone interested for the OEM that I have.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
The droning exhaust, mandatory moonroof and the fugly roof rack were the main reasons we opted for a ORP w/KDSS.

Did anyone that changed from the TRD pro exhaust to the stock Toyota exhaust notice any difference as far as performance or fuel economy?

I was wondering this as well, probably be looking for a stock system in OK soon, wondering if there is a noticeable performance hit?

Mufflers/exhaust won't provide any noticeable performance gains

None. I swapped into OEM a few weeks ago. I have the Pro Exhaust muffler for sale $200 on right.

did you have to get a new tailpipe because the Pro has a 3 bolt flange vs stock at 2

No. The shop cut the flange off the stock and welded to the old 2 bolt. Kept side exit.

I just installed the trd pro exhaust on my 4runner(thanks to a few members on here, I didn't pay much for it). I like it. Very mild sound MAYBE a slight performance increase.

I installed the Pro exhaust on my ORP and I personally like the pro exhaust sound. I like getting feedback from the car, and the sound is nowhere near as excessive as others claim. I think it boils down to personal taste.

I don’t come from V8s or Mustangs, my second car is a Miata and the exhaust note of that is soft. So it’s not like I have built in tolerance and I still think the pro exhaust note is just right.

That said, removing the OEM exhaust pipe was an absolute pain in the ass. The way that the pipe is routed over the frame and the weird angles you need to take to remove the pipe, plus the limited clearance for the flange to make it past the frame and body, make it super easy to scratch the crap out of your frame if you’re not careful, it was a royal royal fucking pain.

Also, unbolting the OEM pipe was horrible. The nuts are welded and to put force on the bolts you have very limited leverage.

installing the pro exhaust was easier because the side exit makes the “height” of the pipe shorter giving better angles to route the pipe back around the frame. But this benefit is offset by the three bolt flange which is larger, making the already very limited clearance even harder because you can really scratch up your frame if not careful.

All this to say, that because of the complexity of the removal and install I probably wouldn’t do it again. I installed my own Bilstein suspension all around and I thought the exhaust was significantly more difficult.
