    Hello,
Looking for replacement options. Not looking for stock OEM, but maybe a quieter muffler. Any suggestions and part numbers?
    Thanks

Look at Magnaflow. Some have said it’s a little quieter. I made the mistake of paying for MSRP for a TRD exhaust and not liking it.

I had a Magnaflow (can look up part number if desired, but its the same diameter inlet/outlet) welded I to the OEM piping. Quiet idle, quiet cruising, can hear it a bit under acceleration. Cost me like $175 parts and labor.

You have a trd pro exhaust and want it quieter?

Add a resonator in the tail pipe section.

Look into a Borla Touring exhaust.

    LOL

pro buyers are so odd,... lol.

(buy the top tier rig, *bullshit wise, and then spend money changing it)
But, but, it says "pro" on the side..... lol.
Got a pro,.. removed suspension/change, hate the pro exhaust, on and on. Mean while a off road, has everything it does lol. And more. Shit makes me giggle.

EDIT- My bad. Do you mate

I hate to say it, but I agree with you. I can see making some changes, but if you're gonna do all of that, get an Off Road or even an SR5.

MMM hmmmmm... Get a off road, that has everything the pro does, save money, put that into everything you want to change on the pro you just dumped into. "oh, well , i ll just sale the stuff i take off the pro". No one wants that shit, as if they are going that far, they arent using the meh pro suspension. Period. You wont be able to give it away.

But hey,...... that decal. Its super neat.

I have the pro and do not regret my decision at all and would do the same if I had to redo it.
I really like the fox suspensions for my use. The trd wheels and front fascia is also what I wanted.
I really like the side exhaust both look wise and functionality. I don’t love the sound of it but it doesn’t bother me as much as some here. The best would be the look of the TRD exhaust with the quietness of the stock exhaust inside the cabin (or less drone at least).
I hate the “pro” marketing word and everything else around it so I removed all the pro emblems and kept “TRD”
Also didn’t like the roof rack before I bought it so I removed it as soon as I could and sold it for almost the price as a new one.
Also the pro has dual zone climate which was important for me. Something that other trims other than the limited don’t have.

i could have got an ORP but after changing what I would need it would have cost more than the pro and still wouldn’t be able to add dual zone climate.

    overall I couldn’t be happier.

If someone gets a pro and changes suspensions and wheels then I agree with you and don’t understand why they went with the pro to begin with

To me it’s just as cringy when i see a non pro trim put a pro roof rack and add pro emblems as a pro owner put different suspensions right after they buy the truck.

If you like the pro rack or pro grill, I understand to add it. But is adding the pro emblems really necessary?

but like you said, everyone is entitled to do what they want with their truck

PS: I’m giving my pro emblems for free if anyone is interested

This thread sure derailed...@4Runner_Patrick - it seems the Magnaflow would be the answer, and no one would give you grief for defacing your Pro. Unless they crawled underneath for a non-Pro component inspection...

Thank you. So far I like the sound of the Pro-exhaust. I have no plans to change it. I was curious to see what the options are in case I wanted to change it out. I am very impressed so far by all the upgrades in the pro coming from a SR5P.

The dual zone auto climate control was a major reason I got the Pro. Also, I knew I wasn't going to replace the stock suspension with aftermarket though I did add a Wescott Designs lift mostly eliminate the rake. At the time it was the only model in the TRD lineup with LED hi and low beams and factory remote start. I really value good headlights and these although they don't perform as well as some others do very well in overall performance.

For some buyers who are going to modify extensively, want the off road features offered only on TRD models then the Off Road trims make great sense. For others who want the truck mostly stock but want all the goodies then the Pro makes sense. But man does the choice of Pro or no make for lots of traffic on the forums....

I got the Touring Catback, and it isn't that loud either, so you wouldn't be happy with it. I don't know what the S sounds like, but it may be louder.

It just a different tone. Most people don't like it I guess but it doesn't bother me, just want a lil deeper sound.

I'm also looking for a solution to make my TRD Pro quiet. What did folks end up doing that worked for them?

If I buy a standard (SR5 / Off Road) exhaust, will it fit on the TRD Pro? Can any shop do this for me?
