Does anyone know if the TPMS can be displayed on the OEM headunits with Android Auto? Looking for a way to see the TPMS without something like a Scangauge.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

To display tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) data on your 5th gen 4Runner's head unit using Android Auto, you'll need to use an aftermarket TPMS system that communicates with your Android head unit, not the factory TPMS.

Your 2020 show the TPMS on main instrument cluster right?

    Hi kmeeg,

This may have been answered before, apologies if so, but how did you get you get your spare's info displayed?

    Cheers,

Those who have done it shall correct me if I said this wrong.

step 1- Install 5th tpms sensor in your spare tire by a tire shop
step 2 - Toyota dealership connect "TechStream" (Toyota official scanning device) to your vehicle and enable 5th sensor place holder.
step 3 - Program the new sensor in 5th place or let it auto learn by using "change wheel set" option. (programming is the fastest and guaranteed)

** Again I didn't do this personally. Toyota dealership wanted closer to 400 bucks to do it (labor and parts).

Yes it does. I'll update the post....we have a 2016 with a 2023 head unit in it.

I haven't done this yet but the Autel TS508 will do it. I'm going to put one of the stock Snowflake wheels in the spare location and program it since the current spare doesn't have a sensor.

On your 2016, you’re able to show TPMS info on the 2023 head unit?
    How did you do that?
