The front coilovers are priced inline with other performance brands also without reservoirs (fox, icon, etc..). I have never seen a direct comparison of the performance difference between them, just saying.

I have icons with resi's on my taco, great shock, love the ride, but overkill in my opinion for that I do.

My 4runner is going to be used for a true off road adventure vehicle and snowboarding get you to the hill in a blizzard machine.

Would 2.5 icons for a tacoma fit on my 4runner. Put the Bosses on my Tacoma and the Icons on my 4runner?
    Anyone?

I wish my camburg UCA would work, but that is a whole other kettle of fish

With your 2nd gen taco? No the suspension is not interchangeable.

I have this on my Tundra and it rides rather smooth. I think they'll be coming out with some front/rear reservoirs too for this setup

The general consensus on the BOSS seems to be that for a "lower end" full suspension, it's probably the best dollar to performance ratio.

There are better suspensions out there but you will pay a lot more. There are worse, but you won't pay much less.

I just ordered this kit for my trail with KDSS. I had icon with reservoirs on my Tacoma and always thought they were great but many times on the highway the digressive valving was jarring. I didn't want that for my 4Runner, nor will it see the amount of off road that the Tacoma did.
After much research and price comparison, I chose the boss kit to give me a nice lift and ride quality that more resembles a firm factory ride.
