Towing with WD hitch?

    2016 4runner limited
    Electric trailer brake controller; moved location of trailer wiring hookup
    Towing 3500 lb loaded Rpod 177. Is receiver a bumper hitch and can we use aWD hitch. How to control sway? Thanks.

    In my experience there are 2 main reasons for a wonky trailer:

    1) Trailer not properly balanced
    2) You're driving too fast

    I use a Husky Center Line hitch to tow a Keystone Hideout 175LHS travel trailer. Seems to do a good job, it has the weight distribution and sway control built into one hitch.

    To add to the good advice above. I have always spaced the hitch ball so that the trailer rides LEVEL when on the loaded suspension of the tow vehicle. That really improves balance..
