Take it one individual scratch at a time. Trying to do an "area" is really frustrating. Working one scratch at a time allows you to see some progress, which is a confidence booster. I put Meguires Cut and Polish cream on a medium wool bonnet using an 1800 rpm polisher. Minimal pressure, let the polisher do the work (easier said than done ;)) Results speak for themselves. I have some swirling, but it is better than the tiger stripes.

If you have any of those Milwaukee or DeWalt 20v tools a sawzall with a wood blade doesn’t take up any space and would take care of if that issue no problem. I use em around the house to cut a limb here and there if the cut takes less time than mussing with a chainsaw.

What is this emergency bush situation of which you speak? Genuinely curious...

Something I didn't think about when this thread originally popped up; you're not generally allowed to cut trees or bushes on trails, with the exception of a fallen tree or branch, storm debris, etc.

If a trail is overgrown, I just back out, or deal with the scratches.

Being honest, this is probably one of the most terrifying tools I’ve ever seen. Even if that chain never comes flying off, using it as intended in a controlled environment seems sketchy.

I’d definitely pass on using it on the trail where you might have poor footing. And to boot, it only gives you 2 inches of cut depth. No way I’m spinning this to 15,000 rpm to cut a branch.

Everyone should have a good beaver handy for those clean up jobs.

I believe that would be a sopping wet beaver... Dry ones aren't as useful for that sort of thing
