I have both. 16 Tacoma DCSB OR and we just purchase a 2021 4runner ORP with KDSS.

We had to replace my wife's jeep due to being totaled. It was very hard to find the exact one she wanted.
My thoughts on it the 4runner has much more headroom and seating is much better compare to the tacoma.
They are both different vehicle one is a truck the other is a suv. It's hard to compare since they have similarities they are also different.
The Tacoma was notorious of being under powered, but the 4runner is too. My Tacoma was bearable due to the OVtune reflash. But like stated I have both vehicles and can't even part with my Tacoma since I can't figure out what to get that I would like.

    Likes:

    Head space
Good for kids and dog ( have 2 kids and they keep getting bigger and the tacoma sucks for space for them + Dog)
    Apple Carplay (WOW)
Has LED Headlights and Rear Tails already
    Transmission doesn't hunt for gears.
    Interior folds down

    Dislikes:
    Doesn't have auto headlamps
    Blind spot monitor
    Rear parking sonar

    It's a Tacoma Truck
Dislike: Kids don't fit in there well, but that might be a good thing... my truckkkkkk

I did a very similar thing, 4Runner trail edition for trd sport tundra. The tundra has so much more room, but the 4runner, IMO was a better built vehicle. I’ll have another one soon.

Thanks guys!! As much as I would have loved to keep the 4runner it made sense for me to go back to a truck. My wife has a Acura RDX suv and we don’t need 2. Plus getting almost what I paid for my AG pro best time to make the move. And especially with the value on these LunaRock tundra Pro are crazy. Guys are selling these for more than they paid.
