Eh... it’s kind of lame, but here I am at an old rarely used RR crossing.

Back in! Here's a mural on the side of a local brewery with vehicles... or shoe vehicles... and the LC.

Next challenge: Your 4R-ish ride with an entrance sign to a state or national park, forest, monument, etc.

I mildly misread / misremembered the challenge as "sign for a national park, recreation area, etc " so I got this. I think it's in keeping with the challenge though...

Next, with a field containing two different kinds of animals...ex cows and horses, sheep and goats, horses and alpacas, etc.

Related to my image; the visitor center of the refuge is named for its former administrator/ ranger who was killed in the Pennsylvania plane on 9/11. They found his badge in cockpit wreckage, and the belief based on finding it there is he (and other passengers) breached the cockpit door and fought the terrorists, crashing the plane, preventing ground casualties. RIP, sir.

I’m gonna claim this one with a local landmark.

    Historical Landmark
    Description:
Named after Frank Gubser, a German immigrant and barber, Gubserville was an important stage, mail, and teamster stop on the road between San Jose and Saratoga. Gubser served as the village's first and only postmaster, beginning July 5, 1882. Gubserville ceased to exist officially when the post office was discontinued on April 15, 1897.

    Registration Date: 11/2/1949

    Location:
    City: San Jose
    County: Santa Clara

    Directions:
    1481 Saratoga Ave, San Jose

Just goes to show you that even a barber can be worthy of a landmark.

Of course! Because I haven't farmed before and am trying to start as a business, I have to have some kind of documented farming success (not) or training in matters of farm operation to qualify for grants, cost shares, etc. For example, even though I am buying a 100' greenhouse this year, I have also applied for a grant for a free greenhouse next year. That will give me 4000 feet of covered growing space for cold weather growing in addition to my acre of garden. And I couldn't find a field with multiple species of livestock but did find this today.

Likely ditch weed if alone. Tons here in Nebraska under power lines. It has soo little THC & mostly males so they just let it grow.

With permits. This is CBD hemp. I visited a hemp farm and processing plant today. Farming stuff. LOL Didn't mean to derail the game... I may have to visit a brewpub tomorrow.

I guess I'll be playing with a different vehicle now... sold our 2017 4R. Still got the 2019 ORP. We are moving back to Ohio and bought a house with 8 acres... not exactly gonna be farmer Fred (farmer Sebby?) but a small truck will be damn handy...

Found the last reasonably priced used truck in the fucking world I think (2021 SR utility); had to drive 6 hours one way for it...

Dang, Mark! And here I was hoping you would be moving to East Tennessee. Heck, the guy next door would've probably sold you his dad's estate with 18 acres. Anyway, nice truck. A truck would definitely be handy around here but I am just not a fan of trucks. I do have dibs on my brother-in-law's Raptor should he decide to sell. Anyway, keep playing the game.

Thanks. I have a love/hate relationship with Tacomas. I've had several... a 94 (not really a Tacoma. but close enough), an 01, 04, 12, 14, and 17. Jesus. That's a lot when I think about them. I already know from a "love my car" standpoint this thing will be lacking. But from a utility standpoint it's perfect. Light duty "farm" use, cheap commuter, dog hauler keeping hair on the exterior, 4wd for some Appalachian exploration. 2.7 4 cyl will last approximately forever.

Sorry I never reached back out to you after I asked you some questions about east TN. I got pretty far in the process with Alcoa PD, to the point where they were going to offer me a job, but Meredith could not find work out there. Which is crazy since she's a nurse practitioner with ER experience and that job is in high demand. What she was told was that Covid had basically decimated TN's healthcare system with a lot of doctor's offices closing, driving PAs and NPs into the hospitals, which then meant that hospital jobs became scarce. Or something. We considered moving there with just me working, but that would have been tough... Alcoa PD paid a mere $39,000 a year, and we didn't know anyone / had no support network if we whiffed. I ended up pulling my app and we decided to stay here for a bit longer while keeping options open. She then began looking for jobs back home in Ohio, where both our families are, and she found a good one pretty quick which was good enough that I wouldn't necessarily have to work. We began considering moving again. That worked out well since within a short time of that I got jammed up like a mother fucker at work to the point where it became pretty evident that I was no longer compatible with the expectations put on 21st century American law enforcement by the 'woke' imbeciles that now control our world. In fact I am still dealing with the fallout of that. Hilariously, my internal affairs interview is scheduled for after we move. By Zoom. And they continue to pay me. But that being neither here nor there and quite probably TMI but IDGAF... anyway, point being we didn't feel comfortable moving to TN on just my income but we can absolutely move to Ohio on just hers.

    Back to the game...

    Sorry for the tangent above.

    Got: brewpub

Next: city limit or welcome sign for a town with "water" in the name; eg Elk River, Walnut Creek, Lake Shasta, Waterford, etc.

Hey, tell Taylor and the rest of the BDubs crew I said, "Hi!" Just kidding, I'm sure different people work there now but I practically lived up there for a few years working projects for various companies. You might recognize this place near the airport.

Amelia's! I have actually never been in there, but I've been to Beerbelly's numerous times! I was a busboy at The Final Approach in the 90's. I was actually working the day OJ ran from the cops and we all sat and watched at the bar TV.

I grew up within 5 minutes of the airport, and don't live far from there now. :)

I’ve been to Final Approach. I lived… stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn-MKE and frequented several local establishments. Lots of BDubs though and hanging out at Roman’s Pub.
